This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of auction property matters, acting for private individuals, investors, housing associations, and corporate clients, while supporting senior lawyers on complex and high value transactions.The RoleYou'll be responsible for managing a varied caseload of auction-related property matters, including:Residential and commercial auction transactionsPreparing comprehensive auction legal packs, including title documents, searches, leases, special conditions, and planning papersAdvising clients on legal risks associated with auction sales and purchases, including restrictive covenants, easements, overage, and complex title issuesHandling pre auction enquiries and liaising with estate agents, auction houses, surveyors, and clientsManaging post auction processes, including contract completion, deposits, and registration formalitiesActing on the sale and purchase of freehold and leasehold properties, including investment properties and those subject to tenanciesAdvising on repossessions, probate sales, and properties sold by mortgagees in possession or public bodiesWorking on high value and portfolio auction transactionsLiaising with lenders on secured lending matters involving auction propertiesSupporting Commercial and Residential Property teams with technical auction related adviceMaintaining accurate records using a Case Management SystemEnsuring deadlines are met within the fast paced auction environmentStaying up to date with auction and property law developmentsSupporting departmental objectives and business development initiativesManaging a small team of legal assistantsMaintaining strict client and firm confidentialityCandidate RequirementsThis role is suited to a qualified Solicitor with:2-3 years PQE preferred (but not essential)Strong experience in property law, ideally with exposure to auction transactionsThorough understanding of the auction process and its legal complexitiesExperience handling complex conveyancing matters, including unregistered land, adverse possession, and tight deadlinesAbility to manage a varied caseload independentlyExceptional attention to detail and strong problem solving skillsExcellent client facing skills and a proactive, solution focused approachStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with Case Management Systems and legal technologyAbility to support business development and build client relationshipsCommitment to ongoing professional developmentStrong IT literacy, numeracy, and organisational skillsA collaborative, team oriented mindsetBenefitsThe firm offers:Competitive salaryMinimum 23 days annual leave plus bank holidaysAdditional personal day, birthday leave, and a discretionary paid day over ChristmasAnnual leave purchase scheme (up to 3 extra days)Discounted gym membershipsStrong focus on professional growth and developmentMilestone recognition and awardsOpportunities to attend networking, corporate, and charity eventsRefer a Friend reward schemeHow to ApplyIf this opportunity sounds of interest or you'd like a confidential conversation about your next career move, please contact:Olivia ReedEmail: oliviareed@chadwicknott.co.ukPhone: 0117 917 1515 / 07711 799761Successful candidates will be required to undergo a basic or enhanced DBS check depending on the role.
