Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join their dynamic team in Macclesfield. You’ll gain hands-on project experience across retail, cinemas, leisure, and mixed-use schemes, while receiving support to complete your Part 3 qualification (fully funded by the practice). Responsibilities • Assist in the preparation of drawings, designs, and technical information using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite., • Work closely with senior architects and clients to develop design concepts., • Support project delivery across all RIBA stages., • Contribute to presentations, reports, and visualisations for client meetings., • Create 3D models and visualisations using SketchUp., • Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs meet project specifications and requirements., • Participate in project meetings to discuss design progress and address any challenges that arise., • Conduct research on materials, methods, and technologies relevant to ongoing projects., • Support the preparation of technical documentation and reports for project stakeholders., • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the design process. Qualifications • RIBA Part 2 qualification., • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite., • Creative and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills., • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment., • Strong understanding of construction principles and system design methodologies., • Experience in creating detailed schematics and technical drawings., • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail., • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual responsibilities effectively., • Strong communication skills to articulate ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
