    The Opportunity On behalf of our client, a leading provider in the property and professional services sector, we are seeking an experienced Head of Operations to join their senior leadership team. This is a critical role accountable for the effective, efficient, and scalable delivery of operational services. You will ensure teams, systems, and processes are aligned to both current and future business needs, ultimately driving speed, certainty, and transformation across the organization. As a senior leader, you will provide strong operational direction, embed industry best practices, and drive continuous improvement, all while protecting a distinctive, supportive team culture and enabling sustainable growth. Key Responsibilities • Operational Performance: Own and lead day-to-day operations, ensuring service levels (SLAs), productivity metrics (KPIs), quality standards, and customer outcomes are consistently achieved., • Strategic Translation: Translate broad business strategy into clear, actionable operational plans, priorities, and performance measures., • Governance & Oversight: Establish effective governance frameworks, reporting rhythms, and performance oversight to rigorously track delivery, risks, and outcomes., • Team Leadership: Build, lead, and develop high-performing operational teams, establishing clear accountability, capability building, and robust succession planning., • Continuous Improvement: Drive process transformation across systems and ways of working, prioritizing scalability, efficiency, automation, and risk mitigation., • Financial Acumen: Partner closely with Finance and senior stakeholders to manage operational budgets, control costs, and deliver maximum value., • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Embed a customer-first mindset across operations and build strong, collaborative relationships across Sales, Product, Technology, Finance, and HR. About You You are a pragmatic, people-focused, and results-driven operational leader with a proven track record in complex, service-led environments. You bring the confidence to champion change, lead cross-functional initiatives, and make data-informed decisions. Required Experience & Skills: • Senior Leadership: Proven track record in a senior operational leadership role, ideally within a high-volume, service-led, or regulated environment., • Performance Management: Hands-on experience owning and delivering against strict SLAs, KPIs, and quality customer outcomes., • Change & Transformation: Demonstrated experience leading process improvement, automation, or large-scale change initiatives., • Commercial Acumen: Strong financial literacy, including budget planning, forecasting, and cost management., • People First: Exceptional ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams while modeling inclusive, values-led leadership., • Stakeholder Management: Highly developed communication skills with a knack for working cross-functionally across complex organizational structures., • Industry Sector (Highly Desirable): Experience within conveyancing, property, or adjacent professional services sectors is highly advantageous, alongside strong data analysis and reporting capabilities. Who We're Looking For • Love for cafe culture and people, • Friendly, open and approachable person who is able to work well with others, • Strong knowledge of coffee and equipment is a must, • Strong decision-making and multi-tasking skills, • Strong interpersonal communication skills, • Passionate about delivering excellent customer connections to create a regular customer base, • Able to work at a fast pace in high-volume environments, • Be an exemplary ambassador of our brand to new neighbourhoods What You'll Own • Craft beautiful coffee products and serve all Blank Street customers with energy, warmth, and empathy, • Support your GM and our Training Team to help train new employees to succeed at Blank Street, including ensuring that new team members are following all recipes and training for menu items and processes and that they are in the correct uniform, are upbeat and vibes are positive, • Open and close the location safely and responsibly (Key holder) and ensure that cleaning duties for the store are followed at the beginning, during and end of the shift, • Positive and solution-focused handling of any minor customer issue, • At a store level, leads all initiatives with the operations and marketing teams to increase foot traffic, new customers, daily sales, and operational profitability and develop a loyal neighbourhood customer base for your store Requirements • Experience in the customer service or hospitality industry, • Availability that meets the needs of our cafes, • Full Time: 35 hours per week, 5 days of availability required and must be available to work 2 peak days (Peak days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday), • Availability to work between 6:30 am and 9:00 pm, • Weekend and holiday availability preferred, • You must be authorised to work in the UK
