Interim Systems Accountant - Finance Transformation\n£350 per day (Inside IR35) | 6-12 month assignment | Leicester (4-5 days on site)\n\nGleeson are supporting a leading FTSE-listed organisation in Leicester in seeking an experienced Interim System Accountant to support a major finance transformation programme within its Group and Operational Finance functions.\n\nWorking closely with both the transformation team and the current finance environment, this role will play a key part in ensuring the successful transition of core finance systems to Oracle. As a tester for the new system, you will act as the bridge between finance and technology, ensuring strong financial control standards are embedded throughout the implementation.\n\nKey responsibilities if the Interim Systems Accountant\n\nSupport the Oracle finance transformation project within the Group Financial Control team\n\nWrite and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts based on real-world finance scenarios\n\nIdentify system issues, control gaps and process improvements during testing\n\nSupport data migration activities including mapping, reconciliation and validation of financial data\n\nAssist in the design and testing of financial reporting outputs in the new system\n\nProduce training materials and support the wider finance team through the transition\n\nEnsure new system processes meet group financial control and reporting requirements\n\nRequirements for Interim Systems Accountant\n\nQualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) preferred \n\nExperience working within large, complex organisations is essential\n\nStrong background in financial accounting and financial controls is essential\n\nProven experience supporting finance transformation, ERP implementation or systems upgrades, ideally Oracle, is essential \n\nExperience supporting UAT, data migration or finance systems testing is essential\n\nAdvanced Excel skills to SQL level is essential\nStrong communication skills with the ability to translate technical processes for finance stakeholders\n\nThis is a hands-on interim role offering excellent exposure within a high-profile transformation programme inside a large, established group finance environment.\n\nFor this role, please note:\n\nCandidates must have full right to work in the UK without the need for any sponsorship.\nCandidates must be based within a reasonable commuting distance of Leicester to accommodate 4 days onsite - this is non-negotiable.\nCVs clearly demonstrating a local base will be prioritised.At Gleeson Recruitment Group, we embrace inclusivity and welcome applicants of all backgrounds, experiences, and abilities.
