The Firm A well-established and highly regarded UK leading law firm is seeking a talented Employment Lawyer to join their East Anglian team. Operating across property, corporate, litigation, and private client services, it is known for forward-thinking, and proactive legal solutions. The Employment Team One of the largest employment teams in the country, the team is Tier 1 ranked in Chambers and Legal 500 and advises a diverse range of clients including major corporates, public sector bodies, charities, and senior executives. This award-winning team handles all aspects of employment law—both contentious and non-contentious—and offers additional services in HR consultancy, in-house client training, workplace investigations, employee incentives, mediation, and immigration. Role Overview You will work on a broad variety of employment law issues across sectors such as education, financial services, construction, transport, agriculture, charities, and public sector. Responsibilities include: • Advising on general employment law and contractual issues, • Drafting service agreements, contracts, and policies, • Handling TUPE, redundancy, and restructuring matters, • Supporting on corporate transactions, • Representing clients in Employment Tribunal litigation, • Advising on boardroom disputes, discrimination claims, and severance packages, • Working on professional discipline and conduct cases Requirements • A qualified solicitor with 3+ years PQE, • Technically strong in employment law and commercially aware, • An effective communicator with clear, concise drafting skills, • Capable of providing pragmatic advice under pressure, • Involved in business development and confident attending networking events, • Familiar with the local business community in Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire (desirable) Benefits The firm offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including: • 25–30 days annual leave (increases with service), • Private BUPA healthcare, • Pension scheme (5% employer contribution), • Profit share scheme, • Life assurance (4x salary) & Permanent Health Insurance, • Agile/flexible working, • Enhanced parental leave If you're ready to take the next step in your employment law career with a dynamic and supportive team, we’d love to hear from you.
