We are seeking an enthusiastic Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Low Intensity Psychological Therapies to join our academic team within the School of Applied Social Sciences on a fixed-term maternity cover basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery and development of our NHS Talking Therapies provision, supporting the education and professional development of trainees undertaking Graduate and Postgraduate Certificate programmes in Low Intensity Psychological Therapies. About the Role The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, supervision, and academic administration across the programme during a period of maternity leave cover within the team. The role involves delivering high-quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate modules, supporting trainees both academically and within clinical placements, and contributing to curriculum development and programme enhancement activities. The post holder will also work closely with NHS partners and support a range of programme administration, recruitment, and quality assurance activities About You We are looking for a motivated and collaborative individual with experience of working in adult mental health services delivering low intensity CBT interventions, such as within a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) role. Applicants should hold a good degree in Psychology conferring eligibility for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) with the British Psychological Society, or a related professional qualification or registration. You should have significant experience working with people experiencing common mental health difficulties, alongside a strong understanding of evidence-based low intensity interventions and the PWP national curriculum. Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills are essential, as is experience of teaching, training, mentoring, or supervising students or trainees.
