Due to the continued growth and expansion of our Software Department, we have an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer .NET (Cloud) to join our dynamic growing R&D team. The role As Software Engineer .NET (Cloud) you will be responsible for developing software applications targeting a range of platforms and devices. You will be working towards a shared vision and will help to shape the future roadmap of Blatchford’s Digital Health Strategy. Key duties: • Writing high quality, secure software that will perform at scale, easy to test and maintain, • Supporting peers by taking part in code reviews, helping each other to develop the best possible software solutions, • Working across the full software development lifecycle, including architecture and design as well as supporting the setup and management of the formal development process for medical device, • Working within a modern DevOps environment, following the processes and workflows setup by the team, ensuring a secure and efficient development process is adhered to. What are we looking for? Key skills • Software Engineering or relevant Computer Science related degree, • Highly proficient in writing clean, readable, and secure code for web and API-driven applications using modern application development techniques, • Strong skills in any .NET language (e.g. C#), • Proficient in ASP.NET and ASP.NET Core framework, • Familiarity with RDBMS systems (SQL Server), • Experience in HTML5/CSS/SASS/ Bootsrap or similar, • Understanding of Design/Achitectural Patterns (MVC, MVVM, etc), • Experience of Agile development methodologies, • Experience of TDD, • Experience working in an Agile Development team utilising DevOps approaches., • Understanding of REST API standards, • Good understanding of Service Oriented architecture and approaches to data integration and serverless application development e.g. Logic Apps, Function Apps What can we offer you? Job Summary The Health, Safety and Environmental Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe working environment for all employees. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with legal regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to identifying potential hazards, ensuring that the organisation prioritises the health and safety of its workforce. This position will located in our Basingstoke sites which consist of two factoring environments and one office environment. Key accountabilities: • Develop and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and management systems, ensuring they are aligned with ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 and Lavazza Group requirements., • Keep up to date with legislative and regulatory changes, and industry best practices ensuring the organisation remains compliant., • Undertake management system audits to ensure HSE regulations are adhered to., • Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures., • Provide expert advice and guidance on HSE matters to employees and management., • Lead Health & Safety committee meetings with Safety Representatives and Area / Line managers., • Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics for regulatory and corporate requirements, including Energy Saving Opportunity Scheme (ESOS), Streamline Energy & Carbon Reporting (SECR), Battery & · Accumulation, Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment and Lavazza Sustainability., • Work with other Lavazza Group sites to share and develop best practice across the organisation., • Liaison with all functional areas within Lavazza Professional to assure HSE requirements are fully understood and executed. (Manufacturing / Supply – Machine Workshop and Drinks Factory, R&D, Field Service, Field Operation services and site offices)., • Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure a safe working environment., • Support the contractor accreditation membership scheme for the Field Service to visit customer sites., • Provide in-house training to raise awareness and understanding of the HSE requirements., • Site contact for regulatory and Asset Conservation site visits., • Management of the Basingstoke sites waste streams including registration of licences and exemptions, • Being an active member of the Energy Saving Team., • Ensuring site security arrangements are in place for both Basingstoke sites., • Providing a business HSE strategy to ensure compliance, promoting continuous improvement and a proactive safety culture., • Managers meetings - Review key performance indicators including leading and lagging metrics, incidents, performance data, trends, objective setting and areas of improvement. Monitor performance. With engineering and facilities team, review opportunities to reduce site energy., • Qualified to NEBOSH Diploma Occupational Health & Safety - ESSENTIAL, • Strong knowledge and understanding of health safety and environmental regulatory framework - ESSENTIAL, • Member of IOSH and an up to date Blueprint CPD - ESSENTIAL, • Experience with ISO45001 & ISO14001 management systems & certification audits - ESSENTIAL, • IEMA / ISEP certificate in Environmental management - ESSENTIAL, • Experience within a food manufacturing environment - ESSENTIAL, • Strong computer skills, experience in Windows, Excel and PowerPoint - ESSENTIAL, • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. - ESSENTIAL, • Ability to prioritise business requirements - ESSENTIAL The successful candidate will be subject to background checks which may include a DBS check.
