Barony Medical Practice in Springburn is seeking a warm, professional, and highly organised individual to join its friendly and supportive team. This role offers an excellent development opportunity, as you will also work toward achieving the SCQF Level 6 Diploma in Digital Applications Support, gaining valuable digital and administrative skills alongside hands-on practice experience. \n As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a vital role in delivering excellent service and ensuring smooth, efficient daily operations. The position involves managing patient enquiries, supporting clinical workflows, and maintaining accurate digital records within a fast-paced environment. \n Responsibilities: \n\n • Act as the first point of contact for patients, doctors, and nurses, managing enquiries across Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and telephone channels\n, • Triage calls where appropriate and ensure all communication is accurately recorded and directed to the correct person or service\n, • Provide clear, professional, and supportive communication to patients throughout their visit or interaction\n, • Maintain and update the digital appointment system (Vision), including booking, amending, and cancelling appointments\n, • Handle urgent appointment requests efficiently and appropriately\n, • Use DOCMAN daily to manage patient records, action clinical tasks, upload correspondence, and ensure accurate and timely electronic filing\n, • Set up new patients on the clinical system, support registration processes, and ensure all digital protocols are followed correctly\n, • Process repeat prescriptions and private service requests using practice digital systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance\n, • Monitor and manage digital task lists within Vision and DOCMAN, including notifying the Health Board of deceased patients and ensuring all messages are actioned\n, • Friendly and professional\n, • An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing\n, • Organised and detail‑oriented\n, • A strong team player\n, • Resilient, with the ability to stay calm under pressure\n, • Confident using digital systems and able to learn new software quickly\n, • This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and welcoming GP practice where your contribution will genuinely make a difference\n, • You’ll be part of a collaborative team committed to delivering high‑quality care to the local community\n, • 7 weeks annual leave pro rata plus 10 statutory\n
