A fantastic opportunity has become available for an optometrist to provide care to patients from our Surgery Centre clinic in Edinburgh Haymarket. You must be at least 2 years qualified on the GOC and have the Independent Prescribing qualification. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team alongside experienced eye care professionals, including ophthalmologists, and play a crucial role in the delivery of a diverse range of clinical eye care services to our patients. At Optical Express, no two days are the same. Your role will be varied and can include: • Pre and post-operative consultations for our refractive and cataract surgery patients, • Providing clinical support to our ophthalmologists during refractive surgery., • Being part of our multi-disciplinary YAG capsulotomy service, delivering these procedures., • Providing Essential and Advanced Eye examinations for our patients., • Communicate with and treat patients via telemedicine., • Provide clinical support to the hub administrative team where required., • In the referral triage team, you will be responsible for reviewing incoming referrals from optometrists, GPs and other primary care routes, allocating them to the most appropriate ophthalmology clinic.
