Job Title:\nPrincipal Product Safety Engineer \n Location: Coventry – We offer\na range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please\nspeak to your recruiter\nabout the options for this particular role \n Salary: Negotiable depending\non experience What you’ll be\ndoing: • Working as\npart of an Integrated Development Team, established to develop and\ndeliver submarine systems/capability\n, • Specifically focusing on ensuring that Product Safety\ntasking and activities are completed across multiple systems in\nsupport of project milestones through all stages of Engineering\nLife Cycle Management\n, • Supporting Hazard Identification and Analysis studies\n, • Assisting with or generating safety reports\n, • Ensuring the Integrated Development Team operates within\nthe project Safety Management System\n, • Obtained\nor predicted 2:2 in a Bachelor’s or Master‘s Engineering\ndegree, • An understanding of ‘Safety and Systems\nEngineering’ and of the ‘Engineering Life Cycle Management‘\n, • Experience working and delivering tasks as part of team,\nbut also capable of working and delivering tasks\nunsupervised, • The ability to be agile in\nworking practices and customer expectations\n, • Self-motivated, with good verbal and written\ncommunication skills The Product Safety\nTeam To support our ongoing need\nto recruit the best engineering talent, BAE Systems Submarines is\ndelighted to shortly be opening a brand-new office in Coventry. BAE\nSystems Submarines is experiencing a period of significant growth,\nand we are now actively\nrecruiting a variety of roles and specialisms to support our\nongoing submarines programs which is critical to delivering our\nnational endeavour. As a Product Safety\nEngineer, you will assist System Engineers in influencing submarine\nsystems and capability development. You will develop an\nunderstanding of how submarine systems work and work together and\nensure that the system of system interactions considers Product\nSafety appropriately. The role will provide the\nopportunity to be involved in all aspects of safety management and safety case\ndelivery. This includes safety requirements capture and management, hazard\nidentification and analysis, hazard data management, application of the\nALARP principle,\ncreation/maintenance of safety documentation and continuous\nimprovement of the safety management system.
