We are currently recruiting for an Additional Needs Teaching Assistant (ANTA) to support schools across Blackpool. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children and young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. The role will involve working closely with pupils who may have a range of additional needs, including SEND, SEMH, autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social or emotional challenges. You will provide tailored support both in and out of the classroom, helping to create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment. Key responsibilities: • Support pupils with additional needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, • Help to implement tailored learning and behaviour strategies, • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, staff and families, • Support the class teacher in managing the classroom and adapting activities, • Encourage independence, confidence and engagement in learning, • Has experience working with children or young people with additional needs, • Is calm, patient and adaptable in challenging situations, • Can build strong relationships and communicate effectively, • Has a genuine passion for supporting children with SEND and additional needs, • Understands the importance of safeguarding and professional boundaries, • Access to a variety of school settings across Blackpool, • Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant, • Opportunities for long-term and permanent roles, • Competitive rates of pay APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR SPENCER CLARKE GROUP All applications are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, professional reference checks, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) in line with our stringent safeguarding policy • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained, • You must have legal right to work in the UK Spencer Clarke Group work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area.
