They are now seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to play a key role within the team. Senior Structural Engineer Job Overview • Lead the design and delivery of structural engineering projects across a range of sectors including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments, • Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications in line with current standards and best practice, • Work closely with clients, architects, and contractors to develop practical and cost-effective structural solutions, • Undertake structural analysis and design using relevant software and manual calculations, • Oversee and coordinate project delivery, ensuring programmes, budgets, and quality standards are achieved, • Attend site visits, inspections, and project meetings to monitor progress and resolve technical queries, • Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians, contributing to their ongoing professional development, • Ensure compliance with relevant design codes including Eurocodes and British Standards, • Contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes and technical standards Senior Structural Engineer Job Requirements • Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards chartership, • Degree qualified in Structural or Civil Engineering, • Minimum 5–7 years’ experience within a structural engineering consultancy environment, • Strong experience in the design of building structures using materials such as steel, concrete, timber, and masonry, • Proficient in structural design software such as Tekla Tedds, Robot, ETABS, or similar, • Experience using AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit would be advantageous, • Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and design standards, • Proven ability to manage projects and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, • Experience mentoring junior staff or leading small teams Senior Structural Engineer Salary & Benefits • Salary dependent on experience, • 25 days’ holiday + Bank Holidays, • Paid professional memberships, • Free city centre parking, • Company phone, • Pension scheme
