With dedicated career pathways, a staff-run Training Academy, and a Great Place to Work accreditation earned in 2025, this is a firm that's serious about long-term professional development — not just filling a seat. The firm is growing, and this is a pivotal addition to the Dundee office. You'll step into a varied, client-facing role working across a broad portfolio and — importantly — working somewhere that recognises and rewards ambition. The next step from this role is Assistant Manager, and clear pathways exist all the way to partner level. What You'll Be Doing This is a hands-on, technically varied role. Day to day, you will: • Prepare financial statements for limited companies, partnerships and LLPs in line with FRS 105 and FRS 102, • Produce monthly and quarterly management accounts for owner-managed business clients across a range of sectors, • Prepare charity accounts and apply the principles of fund accounting and Charities SORP compliance, • Conduct independent examinations of charity financial statements on accruals and receipts & payments basis, • Collaborate across departments — including tax and payroll — to ensure seamless client service, • Build and maintain strong client relationships, responding to queries confidently and escalating where appropriate, • Provide coaching and day-to-day guidance to junior team members and trainees, • Contribute to internal projects and support with ad hoc duties as required What We're Looking For You'll be ACCA or CA part-qualified (and genuinely close to completing your exams — not just holding exemptions) or recently qualified, with solid, demonstrable experience gained in a UK accountancy practice environment. Industry background alone will not be considered for this role. Beyond the technical, the firm values people who bring: • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage a varied portfolio without dropping the ball, • A client-first mindset — confident communicator, professional in every interaction, • A can-do, sleeves-rolled-up attitude; someone who takes ownership, • Good time management and the ability to prioritise under pressure, • Alignment with the firm's values, particularly around integrity and delivering remarkable service, • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or CCH; and confidence with Microsoft Office You must have the right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, the firm is not able to offer visa sponsorship for this role. The Package • 31 days holiday per year, plus a holiday buy/sell scheme, • Generous pension contribution and life insurance scheme, • Enhanced paid leave — maternity, paternity, adoption, bereavement, compassionate leave and company sick pay, • Firm-funded Training Academy with structured CPD and soft skills development, • Professional subscriptions covered, • PerkBox — discounts across supermarkets, travel, retail and leisure, • Birthday gift, • Active social committee — team drinks, lunches, breakfasts and a firm Christmas party, • Office closed between Christmas and the New Year, • Volunteering day, • Great Place to Work accredited (2025) How to Apply This role is being recruited through Creegan Talent.
