We are recruiting for an additional veterinary surgeon to join our Ewell practice on a part-time 2-day week basis, supporting a busy and growing caseload alongside an experienced clinical team. Ewell is a historic suburban village in Surrey, situated just 12 miles from Central London. Ewell is a beautifully designed clinic with an open-span prep area, walk‑in kennels and a large reception area for clients. The practice is a busy GP setting with a growing caseload and a large client base. You will work alongside an experienced senior vet, a senior RVN, RVNs and trainee nurses two days per week covering the following shifts: • Tuesday 10:0am – 19:00pm, • Wednesday 8:30am – 17:30pm, • 1:4 Branch Saturday 8:00am – 16:00pm, • 1:10 Sunday at Stone Lion Hospital, • 1 Bank holiday As an associate vet, you will be involved in the day-to-day GP caseload, including consultations and routine surgeries. The practice is equipped with digital x‑ray, dental x‑ray and ultrasound facilities on site. • Carry out consultations, thoroughly examining all pets presented and making management and treatment recommendations based on best practice, evidence and GVG protocols., • Perform surgery on cases as appropriate and within the boundaries of personal competence and the limitation of overnight care., • Maintain, prescribe and dispense medications in accordance with current medicines legislation and RCVS guidance., • Record accurate and thorough clinical notes, ensuring pets’ histories are comprehensive and useful to colleagues., • Refer cases in a timely manner, in the first instance to a GVG Hospital, where a case cannot be undertaken for any reason., • Help maintain a respectful and collaborative team environment.
