Job Overview: This isn’t your average Customer Success or Account Manager role. DeGould is looking for a proactive and commercially minded Technical Account Manager, who will manage each customer’s transition from prospective customer to active users of the Company’s products, and ultimately be responsible for fostering an environment that enables future growth opportunities. It will require an individual who has the aptitude to not only understand a complex and technical product but be able to communicate it’s value to customers well, whilst combining gravitas and experience to manage the relationships and turning the relationships into future growth opportunities and ultimately building lasting relationships with our customers. The candidate must have strong knowledge and understanding of Finished Vehicle Logistics, gained either through direct involvement in the process or through working with customers in this area. Duties and Responsibilities: • Customer Onboarding and Engagement; guide customers through the entire lifecycle, from prospecting to becoming active users of the company’s products. Ensuring customers see value from the start is a priority., • Driving Growth Opportunities; a proactive approach to identifying and nurturing growth opportunities within customer accounts. You’ll not only maintain but expand these relationships to drive revenue., • Technical Aptitude; comfortable understanding and communicating the value of a complex, technical product. Translating technical features into benefits that resonate with customers is essential., • Relationship Management; ability to combine gravitas and experience in managing customer relationships. This includes fostering an environment for future growth and turning customer interactions into long-term partnerships, as well as being primary technical and commercial point of contact for a small number of existing OEM customers., • Commercial Mindset; ability to be a strategic thinker, with a commercially oriented approach to customer management in order to identify potential opportunities and leverage them for business expansion. Accountable for pipeline opportunities and revenue forecasting, along with the maintenance of our CRM., • Reporting and Insight; ongoing responsibility for routine customer and product reporting and analysis, • Problem Solving; point of contact for technical issues to ensure the highest level of system performance and uptime., • Travel; International travel to customer locations., • Contracts; ability to project manage protracted and complex contractual negotiations, from the developed of scope through to quotes and the execution of contracts., • Execution; work with the Product and Implementation Teams to deliver against scope and ensure customer expectations are aligned with the specification for each product., • Strategy; Actively participate in the development the Company’s commercial strategy, including value proposition, pricing and adjacent revenue opportunities Skills: • A proven business or management skillset within an enterprise service environment., • Experience and good understanding of vehicle logistics operations., • Ability to work under pressure in a fast moving, dynamic environment., • Expertise in developing valued proposition conversations., • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to present and influence., • A background in engineering, or a strong aptitude to understand the technical complexities of the product., • Experience working as a Technical Account Manager or equivalent position., • Knowledge of automotive, either OEM or supplier, is a distinct advantage., • Expertise in developing Land & Expand commercial strategy. Design Engineer TheOpportunity: Working within the existing design team of this quality British designed and manufactured product, the Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, engineering and specification of all new products. You will also work on improving the design and maintenance of the existing product range, and any modifications as may become necessary. Design for manufacture experience is vital to your success in this fabulous Design Engineers position. The Opportunity: Work closely with the Technical Engineering Manager, design and development department taking products from conception to detailed engineering drawings for manufacture. Determine manufacturing methods for engineering designs accounting for both in house and external manufacture capabilities. Ensure that tolerance analysis is carried out during the design process, allowing for ease of manufacture, product function and eliminating tolerance build up issues during product manufacture and assembly. Work with all departments involved in the NPD program, in particular, Development, Production Engineering & Purchasing, ensuring design for manufacture is implemented prior to product handover. Work with the Production Engineering department to optimise designs to reduce costs, increase efficiency and maintain product quality. Ensure Bill of Materials spreadsheets are generated during the design process enabling Production Engineering to generate product manufacturing costs. Ensure new product progress feedback sheets are filled out and kept up to date. Preferred Skills: Minimum of 2 years experience working as a Mechanical Design Engineer. Either degree educated or a proven engineering background with a strong bias to mechanical engineering. Demonstrated ability in product development from initial prototype to mass production. Sheet metal manufacture experience and knowledge of sheet metal processes would be ideal. Proven experience of working with Solid Edge Solid Works.
