Surveyor - Ventilation Hygiene Role: Surveyor Location: Flexible / Site-Based Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time Sector: Ventilation Hygiene / Fire Compliance / Facilities Management Salary: £45,000 starting salary + Company Car + Full Package Overview We are working with a specialist compliance contractor within the ventilation hygiene and fire safety sector, seeking an experienced Surveyor to support business growth and project delivery. This role combines business development with technical surveying responsibilities, focusing on securing new contracts, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring compliance with fire safety and hygiene standards across client sites. What’s on Offer Competitive salary starting from £45,000 (flexible for the right person) Company car Pension scheme Death in Service (DIS) Healthcare cash plan Fuel card Free onsite parking Company phone and iPad Expenses covered Qualifications Relevant industry experience (essential) Any certifications related to fire safety, HVAC, or compliance (desirable) Key Responsibilities • Proactively generate new business through outbound telesales and face-to-face client engagement, • Identify and target organisations with ventilation hygiene requirements across multiple sectors, • Build, manage, and convert a pipeline of prospective clients, • Present services clearly, highlighting compliance, safety, and risk management benefits, • Secure new service agreements and long-term contracts, • Maintain accurate CRM records of leads, opportunities, and activity, • Develop strong relationships with both new and existing clients, • Liaise with operational teams to ensure smooth onboarding of new customers, • Stay up to date with industry standards including kitchen extract systems, fire dampers, and ductwork cleaning Specified Duties • Carry out detailed site surveys, • Produce survey reports, RAMS, work programmes, and associated documentation, • Manage all project-related correspondence (email, phone, client updates), • Organise and manage equipment hire and off-hire requirements, • Attend site meetings including pre-start, progress, and post-verification meetings, • Liaise with operational teams regarding project delivery, invoicing, and completion, • Attend internal and general business meetings, • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in an organised and structured manner Requirements • Proven experience in one or more of the following:, • Facilities Management, • Compliance Services, • Fire Safety, • Ventilation / Ductwork Cleaning, • Strong client-facing and business development skills, • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, • Good understanding of compliance and safety standards, • Strong communication and organisational skills
