Our team in Wembley have gone from strength to strength over the past 2 years. With client numbers booming we now require an additional RVN on a part-time basis to help support with the growing workload. About your new role! The Wembley clinic has been on this site for several decades and has a long-standing and loyal client base. It has continued to grow in popularity no more so than after our fantastic senior vet started, and they are now in need of an additional RVN. This is a 2-day week role on Mondays and Tuesdays (8-hour shifts) and includes a 1:3 Saturday rotation between Wembley and Harrow, and 1:10 Sundays working alongside the Mandeville Hospital team, plus 1 bank holiday per year. This position would also suit a newly qualified RVN due to the support in the practice. As a branch RVN some of your duties will include: • Ensure the provision of a high quality and continually improving standard of nursing care., • Assist the veterinary surgeon in theatre and during consultations, as and when required., • Maintain comprehensive patient hospitalisation records., • Ensure a high standard of comfort and welfare for all pets in our care., • Complete and maintain accurate records of hospitalised patients., • Maintain a respectful and collaborative team environment, • Ensure equipment is cleaned, packed, sterilised and stored correctly when not in use., • Maintain adequate stocks of drugs, diets and consumables and place orders with our suppliers to required levels as necessary., • Assist with the induction of new staff and their subsequent training., • Provide reception duties, as required, ensuring a friendly and efficient handling of clients and their pets, in person, by email and over the telephone., • Support student nurses and VCA’s as a clinical supervisor. The practice itself boasts 2 consult rooms, a theatre and large separate prep room, digital and dental x-ray and ultrasound facilities. You will be supported by an incredibly experienced team including our senior vet Triona, Jacky our part-time RVN who has an incredible 38 years of service, Robert our VCA who has worked at the clinic for many years, and an additional training VCA who will support you every step of the way. The Inspector will be responsible for carrying out detailed inspections of aircraft landing gear components and accurately recording component condition within the company SAP system. The role involves developing cost-effective repair and overhaul route sheets in accordance with approved OEM Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs) and Standard Operating Procedures Manuals (SOPMs), while supporting production targets and quality standards. This is a shift-based role Monday to Friday Duties and Responsibilities Perform detailed inspections of aircraft components using approved inspection criteria, techniques, and calibrated inspection equipment. Identify component condition and determine appropriate repair or overhaul requirements in accordance with OEM CMMs and company procedures. Create, amend, and maintain component overhaul and repair routes within the SAP system. Accurately record all component data, including Part Number (P/N), Serial Number (S/N), and condition, within the Shop Repair Order and SAP system. Carry out dimensional inspections and precise measurements as required to support inspection workload. Work in accordance with production priority lists, including ASPEN schedules and milestone dates provided by Production Control. Liaise with Technical Engineering, Production, and other departments to resolve inspection and repair-related queries. Support continuous improvement by participating in daily departmental dialogue and communication meetings. Promote and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation, company policies, and codes of practice. Maintain awareness of the Major Accident Prevention Plan (MAPP) and associated responsibilities. Demonstrate understanding of, and compliance with, the companys environmental policies and procedures. Ensure all duties are carried out in full compliance with Safety, Environmental Regulations, and Company Procedures. Education and Qualifications Completion of an aerospace apprenticeship is desirable. A recognised qualification in an engineering discipline is desirable. Experience and Knowledge Previous experience within an aerospace engineering or equivalent regulated environment. Proven background in mechanical component inspection. Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems is advantageous. Strong knowledge of inspection techniques, standards, and inspection equipment. Practical experience using imperial measuring tools, including micrometres, callipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
