Merchandiser - Fresh Deli & Bakery. We have a new position for a Merchandiser with our Fresh Deli & Bakery department. The Merchandiser ensures each department is successful in driving sales and profitability whilst taking into account strategic planning, budget and stock availability. Our Fresh Deli & Food Merchandising team manages a number of products that are fast moving, high profile and high volume with a lot of financial impact to the business. This team is responsible for a range of products covering Fresh Foods & Bakery, Deli, Hampers, and Wines & Spirits for our Piccadilly and satellite stores and any seasonal pop-ups. Reporting to the Senior Merchandiser, you will be responsible for all aspects of Inventory Management and supply chain activity to ensure excellent availability within the Open To Buy and Wastage target Constraints. Key Responsibilities: • Working with Hospitality to minimise waste. • Maximise availability and provide statistical analysis to determine the optimum range to achieve YOY growth and full sales potential • Ensures all KPIs are meet for the respective departments. • Statistical Analysis of range - monitoring sell through by brand/category. • Management of Critical Path for all seasonal activity You will be working very closely with our Buying teams and external suppliers so strong influencing and negotiations skills will be necessary in this role. In addition, you will be working with all areas of the business including Warehouse, Retail and Online departments.
