We understand this is a time of uncertainty, however we are in consistent communication with our schools preparing for when they reopen. We are looking for SEN teaching assistants to support pupils within a SEN secondary school in the heart of Southwark. This school has convenient transport links and is reachable by bus, tube and car although parking at the school is limited. The school accommodates for young people who have severe, complex or profound learning disabilities. For this role you must be confident working with secondary aged pupils and managing their behaviour. This is a full-time support position up until the end of the 2020/2021 academic school year, with a competitive salary. Responsibilities: Managing pupil's behaviour and everyday needs.Helping the students with their life skills.Some personal care.Working with the teacher to assess pupil's levels and ability.Ensuring the schools ethos and policies are being implemented.Supporting students with work set by the class teacher. You will be responsible for ensuring the nursery is cleaned and tidied to the highest standard. Reporting into our front of house manager you will be able to work autonomously but be flexible in your approach as a result of the ever changing day to day demands of a nursery setting. Our working hours are 7am - 7 pm so we are ideally looking for someone for mornings 5 am - 7am or after we close 6pm - 8pm.
