American Traveler is seeking a travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a travel job in New York, New York. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Technologist, • Discipline: Allied Health Professional, • Start Date: 12/08/2025, • Duration: 8 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, days, • Work in a PET/MRI department within a clinical radiology setting, • Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients with neurologic conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's, epilepsy, brain tumors, and oncologic needs, • Average daily census is 13 with two procedure rooms, • Staffing ratio is 1 technologist to 2 patients during the day shift, • Duties include PET scanning, handling radioactive materials (FDG, Amyvid, Dotatate, Pylarify), and assisting with research doses (C11, PI2620, FBB, MK6240), • Work schedule is Monday through Friday from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM, with potential for Saturday availability, • Uses EPIC (preferred) and NMIS for documentation, • Responsibilities include performing closing QC of the hot lab, glucose testing for FDG exams, patient setup and recovery for PET/MRI exams, • 8 AM to 4 PM training period will be provided until competency is demonstrated, • Saturday overtime may be available from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, • First-time travelers are accepted, • Must provide two managerial professional references from supervisors within the past two years, • Return staff must be gone one year before eligibility to return in a traveler role, • Parking in employee garage is provided at no cost with badge pick-up; street parking is also available, • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate, • RTO must be 5 days or less, and no RTO is permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment\n \n Requirements\n, • Current ARRT (N), NMTCB, and BLS certifications are required, • Active NY state license required if applicable, • Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, • Experience with PET scanning and venous blood draws, • Ability to start and maintain peripheral IVs, • Experience handling, storing, and disposing of radioactive materials, • EPIC EMR preferred but not required, • COVID vaccination required\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
