The ideal candidate will have experience working with both children and adults, and will be proficient in performing brain SPECT scans, managing patient dosing, and maintaining quality control procedures. Efficiency, empathy, and attention to detail are essential in this role. Key Responsibilities • Perform brain SPECT scans and related quality assurance procedures, • Prepare patients for IV administration and dose delivery, • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and monitor patient response, • Process and print scan images before end of workday, • Execute testing protocols and maintain Odyssey hard drive, • Maintain accurate and up-to-date logbooks, • Conduct daily camera and hot lab quality controls, • Perform daily constancy checks, surveys, and weekly wipe tests, • Order isotopes in advance and manage inventory of medical supplies, • Perform semi-annual sealed source leak tests, • Conduct quarterly dose calibrator linearity tests, • Complete annual geometry and accuracy tests on dose calibratorQualifications, • Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist License in the state of New York, • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, • Experience working with pediatric and adult populations, • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical procedures to patients, • Excellent time management and organizational skills, • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, • Empathy, emotional stability, and genuine care for patient well-being, • Familiarity with brain imaging is a plusPhysical Demands, • Frequent typing and computer use, • Prolonged periods of sitting, • Regular use of office equipment (e.g., copier, scanner, telephone), • Occasional standing, walking, reaching, stooping, or bending, • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs multiple times per dayWork Environment, • Moderate noise level, • Weekly pay, • Medical benefits
