Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled HQHVSN Veterinary Surgeon to join our compassionate team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for animal care and welfare, along with the expertise to perform high volume spay/neuter procedures on cats and dogs. The ideal candidate will also be able to provide relief wellness and urgent services when the chief veterinarian is out. Duties • Perform spay/neuter surgeries to shelter and public pets and all duties necessary to safely perform those surgeries, 28-35 per surgical day depending on the makeup of the schedule, • Other types of surgeries as needed and agreed upon (leg amputation, eye enucleation, etc)., • Relief/emergency veterinary services to shelter animals, • Relief/emergency veterinary services to clients in our Wellness Clinic, • Proficient in pet care and animal handling, ensuring the comfort and safety of all patients., • Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal physiology to effectively communicate with team members and pet owners., • Experience with aseptic technique to maintain sterile environments during surgical procedures., • Ability to perform animal restraint safely and effectively during examinations and treatments.
