This is a hands-on role within an active and fast paced litigation practice, offering the opportunity to take ownership of files and work directly with Directors on a wide range of defense matters. • Busy and diverse litigation docket, • Exposure to general liability, personal injury, premises, construction, and commercial litigation, • Direct involvement with case strategy and client interaction, • Opportunity to grow within a high performing Gulf Coast team Responsibilities • Handle a diverse caseload including personal injury, wrongful death, commercial disputes, construction and property claims, insurance defense, and premises liability matters, • Represent regional and national clients, including insurers, contractors, and commercial businesses, • Participate in all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, hearings, mediation, and trial preparation, • Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and experts, • Work closely with Directors on case strategy and execution, • Take ownership of assignments and contribute to an active and growing practice Qualifications • Experience in civil litigation, insurance defense, commercial litigation, construction, or related practice areas preferred, • Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills, • Ability to manage responsibilities in a fast paced litigation environment, • Interest in developing as a litigation attorney with increasing responsibility Preferred Experience • Deposition, hearing, or motion practice experience, • Background in defense litigation, general liability, or construction related matters, • Experience working with insurers, contractors, or commercial clients, • Ability to independently manage files with appropriate supervision Compensation and Benefits • Competitive salary based on experience, background, and overall fit, • Significant bonus opportunities through quarterly bonus structure and full benefits package, • Advanced professional development programs and mentorship, • Meaningful responsibility with direct access to experienced leadership Equal Opportunity Statement Galloway Johnson Tompkins Burr & Smith is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to maintaining a diverse and inclusive workplace.
