Curl Bar Beauty is looking for a motivated Salon Apprentice to join our team and train under experienced curl specialists and colorists. Curl Bar Beauty is also looking for passionate curly hair stylist that want to continue to perfect there craft in the curly hair world. This is a hands-on opportunity with on-the-job training, real salon experience, and clear pathways for advancement into a full stylist position.What You’ll Learn Curly cutting techniques across all curl patterns Natural hair care, hydration protocols & steam treatments Color theory, curly-safe color application & glossing Wash-and-go styling, diffusing, and product knowledge Professional client communication & consultation skills Front desk, salon operations, and back-of-house systems Who We’re Looking For A cosmetology school graduate (or currently enrolled and near completion) Someone eager to learn and grow in curly hair education Professional, reliable, and excited to work in a fast-paced NYC salon A team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills Someone passionate about textured hair and inclusivity Willingness to perform assisting duties like laundry, cleaning, and restocking, which are essential for maintaining the salon's smooth operation. Each Cook is entrusted with delivering the highest quality food and service, every time. Our goal is to prepare and serve food that reflects the menu, meets guest preferences, and fulfills management’s direction — always in a clean, safe, and timely manner. Follow directions and maintain good working relationships with supervisors and managers. Follow proper payroll and uniform procedures. Operate kitchen equipment safely and properly in the kitchen. Utilize the computer system and read all orders. Prepare and present on a timely basis all foods for meal service. Handle all types of food and rotate it in accordance with established procedures. Work closely with standard recipes and plate presentation in order to maintain standards of quality in production and presentation. Ensure a clean, neat, and organized work area. Ability to work flexible hours. Cook a wide variety of foods with all modern and classical cooking techniques. Ability to work with cutlery in a proficient, safe, and swift manner. Knowledge, Experience, and Skills High School Diploma or Equivalent Two-year degree or Apprenticeship Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English. Current and up-to-date sanitation classes Minimum of one year in fine dining food preparation Physical Requirements Stand/Walk 8 – 12 hours a day Work standing for up to ten hours in a kitchen environment. Ability to stand and work continuously in confined spaces for long periods of time Possess sufficient dexterity to use all kitchen equipment Ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk, push, and pull heavy equipment for long periods of time Ability to perform all duties in extreme temperature ranges Job Type: Full-time
