Job Description The Louis S. Wolk Jewish Community Center of Greater Rochester is located alongside the Erie Canal in Brighton and is a 200,000 square foot facility that houses our state-of-the-art fitness, wellness and recreation programming, an aquatics center, a Professional Theatre, Children’s Center and our Camping Program. The Women’s Spa Supervisor is a key member of the Spa and Wellness team, responsible for overseeing daily operations, supervising and developing staff, and ensuring exceptional member experiences across the Women’s Spa and Laundry. This role combines hands-on service with leadership responsibilities, including staff training, member onboarding, and the implementation of strategies to enhance satisfaction and drive spa revenue growth. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions. • Manage the daily activities and direct Spa and Laundry Staff to meet or exceed customer/member service standards, • Serve as the Spa Attendant providing direct customer/member service support to Men’s Spa Members, • Ensure that cleanliness and supplies are maintained throughout the spa, including but not limited to: vanity area, bathrooms, coffee bar, towel areas, lounge, locker room, fitness room and fitness equipment; engage housekeeping as needed., • Work with Human Resources and Spa Management to support the recruiting, hiring and training of Spa and Laundry Attendants, • Supervise, coach and mentor staff to meet standards for safety, cleanliness, and customer service to deliver an excellent experience for members and guests, • Develop work schedule and approve Staff work hours. Serve as the back-up Spa Attendant to cover hours when Staff is unavailable., • Guide Staff work and assign tasks, following up to ensure completion, • Manage the inventory and ordering of supplies for the Men’s and Women’s Spa, working with management to develop and maintain a budget, • Monitor safety for members and staff including performing routine inspections of Spa and Laundry facility including but not limited to: fitness equipment, restrooms, showers, whirlpool, sauna, steam room and locker room areas., • Work with management to identify and refine processes that provide value to spa members or increase efficiencies, • Bring ongoing focus to customer/member service by responding to member feedback, sending birthday cards, assisting with quarterly member spa events and membership projects, • Maintain binder of daily testing and duty sheets to verify all standards are achieved and work with Aquatics Director to ensure timely submission to NY DOH, • Maintain accurate list of staff’s lifesaving certifications and work with supervisor to schedule necessary training Key Competencies for Success: • Team player with a focus on building a team environment with Staff, • Able to develop strong relationships with ALL staff and members, • Able to prioritize assigned duties and complete tasks on time, • Follow and support the JCC mission, policies and procedures, • Associates Degree or equivalent work experience, • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) a plus, • CPR, First Aid & AED certified To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a basic knowledge of: • Membership Services Software, • Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to: • Stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, grasping and twisting, climb or balance., • Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Benefits • Health, Dental and Vision, • Retirement Plan, Life and Disability Insurance, • Employee Assistance Program, • Free membership to our Fitness and Aquatics Center
