This role involves providing supportive services to formerly homeless adults diagnosed with serious mental illness, many of whom have a forensic background. The Forensic Clinical Supervisor is dedicated to ensuring that clinical staff are equipped to handle challenging situations with empathy, professionalism, and effective therapeutic techniques while helping clients achieve stability and independence. Essential Position Functions: • In conjunction with the Program Director, supervise clinical staff and oversee the delivery of services to clients., • Be available on-call for 24-hour crisis intervention. Attend meetings as requested and be willing to work nights and/or weekends, as needed., • Assist in managing personnel activities, including hiring, shift scheduling, policy and procedure development, staff meetings, case conferences, staff training, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and labor/management issues., • Provide case management, including benefits assistance, helping clients complete housing applications, linking clients to primary and behavioral health care in the community, and offering housing referrals to formerly homeless adults diagnosed with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorders. These services are primarily provided in the client’s apartment and in community settings., • Serve as a critical member of the treatment team, collaborating with other providers to diagnose struggles, develop and implement interventions, and evaluate clients to support their independence., • Assist with medication observation and education in accordance with OMH regulations., • Assist in identifying clients’ strengths, needs, abilities, and goals, and create related Service Plans in the electronic client records system., • Assist the Program Director with administrative duties, including data entry, monitoring performance measures, program audit preparation, and staff attendance., • Motivate clients to develop skills necessary to maintain housing and comply with legal obligations. Assist and encourage clients to develop natural supports and incorporate them into their plans., • Complete required documentation for every client contact in a timely manner, in accordance with agency policy. Ensure documentation meets regulatory guidelines for level of care. Prepare documentation, including psychosocial assessments (and psychiatric evaluations, if licensed), for 2010E housing applications., • Co-facilitate groups if requested in areas such as wellness, substance use, harm reduction, symptom management, and medication education., • Deliver direct care services and act as an internal consultant in onsite and offsite emergencies, providing counseling, crisis intervention, and psychosocial assessments., • Ensure compliance with requirements, including facilitating appropriate admissions and discharges, maintaining census, documentation, and incident reporting., • Liaise with other departments and outside agencies, including the agency’s Critical Care team., • Work with residents, families, and staff in a caring and respectful manner, considering cultural differences., • Immediately report incidents, allegations, or sensitive situations to supervisors. Job DescriptionDescription: Job Title: Medical Billing Specialist Salary: $25-$30 per hour Supervisor: Director of Behavioral Health Services Department: Behavioral Health Services FLSA Status: Full Time – Exempt ========================================================================================== GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Medical Billing Specialist coordinates with the Authorization & Payroll Specialist and Director of Behavioral Health Services to ensure all CFTSS and HCBS services are billed and adjudicated in accordance with the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) and federal regulations. The Medical Billing Specialist can work independently and efficiently under pressure. They conduct follow-up correspondence to resolve open and denied claims via email or on the phone. The Medical Billing Specialist may act as a liaison between MDPYFS and the MMCPs (Medicaid Managed Care Plans) that insure the clients on the Behavioral Health Services Department’s roster. They keep records organized and can complete tasks quickly and efficiently, in order of highest priority. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Verify clients’ eligibility weekly., • Maintain updated billing profiles for all clients in the clearinghouse database., • Report service provision overutilization including but not limited to fraud, waste, and abuse., • Process, correct, and rebill claims for adjudication using ICD-10 codes if necessary., • Audit Explanations of Payments (EOP) from MMCPs., • Reconcile incoming payments., • Resolve denied and underpaid claims via the dispute, appeal, or grievance process., • Liaise between NYS Medicaid programs and MMCPs., • Ensure ongoing communication with the Director of Behavioral Health Services regarding the escalation of service-impacting issues., • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives., • Perform ongoing independent research related to changes in industry standards., • Attend quarterly Department meetings to provide necessary feedback. Scope of Position: Under the supervision of the Area Director and individual Program Directors, the Clinical Coordinator will provide direct support and serve as an internal consultant for residents at The Bridge Safe Havens, located in the Bronx and Harlem. They will work with high-need clients in these temporary housing locations as the clients transition into supportive housing. The Clinical Coordinator will collaborate with the Program Directors to supervise Case Management staff, and client visits may take place in the community, hospitals, clinics, or in coordination with clients’ external support systems. This position requires travel between multiple program sites; the employee will be provided with an unlimited monthly MetroCard and access to agency vehicles, as needed and available. A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is preferred. There is also a potential opportunity to receive clinical supervision toward LMSW or LMHC licensure, depending on staff availability. Essential Position Functions: • Participate in individual supervision with the Area Director and Individual Program Directors., • Assist in supervising Case Management staff by providing support and guidance on complex clinical situations., • Consult with staff on client admissions, develop interventions, and create individualized treatment plans., • Provide input for psychiatric evaluations required for clients’ housing applications., • Support medication monitoring efforts, including spot-checking documentation to ensure compliance., • Communicate with program staff, external prescribers, and pharmacies/medication suppliers., • Maintain a caseload of high-risk clients., • Collaborate with the clinical team to provide comprehensive care to clients., • Prepare and update treatment plans and coordinate care with internal and external providers., • Maintain relationships with outreach teams, DHS, and client treatment teams., • Participate in incident review and DHS Safe Haven meetings., • Participate in weekly team meetings and client case conferences., • Be available for consultations on client cases., • Deliver direct care services and act as an internal consultant during emergencies., • Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and psychosocial assessments., • Serve as a liaison between staff, hospitals, and clinics regarding client treatment plans., • Document services in both AWARDS and CARES electronic systems., • Assist with preparation for site visits, inspections, and audits., • Provide crisis intervention as needed for clients in decompensation or acute crisis., • Travel between program sites and maintain communication across locations during work hours., • Remain flexible and actively engage with clients throughout program facilities., • Attend staff meetings and required trainings., • Facilitate training sessions and groups for clients and staff., • Maintain certifications in First Aid, Crisis De-escalation, and Overdose Prevention., • Perform any other duties as assigned.Requirements:, • A Master’s degree in social work or mental health counseling with relevant licensure is preferred., • Experience in working with individuals facing substance abuse and mental health issues.
