School Year: 2026-2027 Terms: Full Time, 9-Months Job Summary: The Elementary School Teacher is responsible for creating a Christ-centered, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for students in grades K–5. The teacher plans and delivers effective instruction that supports academic growth, spiritual development, and character formation. Working in partnership with parents, colleagues, and administrators, the teacher cultivates a love for learning while guiding students in their intellectual, social, and spiritual development. Instructional Responsibilities • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in core academic subjects including reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies., • Implement a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs, including hands-on learning, group collaboration, technology integration, and independent work., • Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, creativity, and active participation., • Assess student progress using formal and informal methods such as quizzes, projects, assignments, and observation., • Establish clear classroom expectations that promote respect, responsibility, and a positive learning environment., • Implement effective classroom management strategies that support student engagement and minimize disruptions., • Recognize and support the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of students., • Use differentiated instruction to support students at varying levels of ability., • Encourage and celebrate student progress and achievements., • Work collaboratively with fellow teachers, administrators, and support staff to promote student success., • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities through conferences, emails, newsletters, and school systems., • Develop lesson plans aligned with school curriculum standards and instructional objectives., • Integrate biblical worldview and Christian principles into classroom instruction and activities., • Utilize educational technology and digital tools to enhance instruction and student engagement., • Provide active supervision of students during assigned duties such as recess, lunch, chapel, assemblies, and school activities., • Participate in professional development opportunities to maintain and improve instructional practices., • Stay current with best practices in elementary education and instructional strategies., • Maintain accurate and timely records of attendance, grades, and student progress., • Complete required reports and documentation in accordance with school procedures., • Adhere to all school policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
