We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to become part of our growing freight brokerage team in Memphis. Position Summary The account specialist is a liaison between vendors, carriers, and customers, both internal and external, and responsible for freight routing management. A primary responsibility of this position is balancing customer satisfaction and company processes and procedures. Manually enter shipments into transportation system, ensure data integrity for customer billing, assign load numbers, send and receive signed rate confirmations. Work closely with Client Managers in supporting customer transportation functions and efficient flow of activity across the team managing customer shipments/loads, setting appointments and tracking freight. Develop and foster customer relationships at multiple levels, be a customer champion. Ensure customers receive updates of shipment details and proactively communicate any delays. The ideal candidate has/will: • Minimum two years customer service experience required, • 1-2 years’ relevant experience preferred (high volume 3rd party logistics, truckload, or freight management department/company), • Strong PC skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook,TEAMs), web-based and Windows based software and databases and the ability to learn and utilize transportation management software (TMS) a must, • Be quick on your feet, collaborative, and possess grit to overcome challenges and push forward, • Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and customer tiers, • Excellent negotiation skills and attention to detail, results oriented and highly organized, • Manage difficult or challenging customer situations and respond promptly to customer needs, • Balance team and individual responsibilities, give and welcome feedback, contribute to building a positive team environment, • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully, work well in group problem solving situations, • Adaptable, manage competing demands, change approach or method to best fit the situation, • Attendance/Punctuality - is consistently at work and on time, ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent, • Initiative - volunteer readily, ask for and offer help when needed, • Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred Why Work With Us? • A safe and clean work environment, • Training and opportunities to grow within the company, • Employee discounts and paid holidays, vacation, and sick time, • Medical, dental, vision benefits (comprehensive coverage with low premiums), • We offer a 401k match and provide life insurance at no cost to our employees!
