The ideal candidate will be responsible for picking up and dropping off clients from their homes to the program safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. The Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients arrive at their destinations on time, contributing to the smooth operation of our Day Habilitation Program. Responsibilities: Safely operate transit vans to transport Day Habilitation Program clients to and from their homes and the program. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with transportation regulations. Communicate effectively with program staff, caregivers, and supervisors to coordinate pick-up and drop-off schedules. Maintain constant communication with the supervisor regarding route updates, client concerns, and any transportation issues. Assist clients with boarding and exiting the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort during transit. Maintain accurate transportation logs, including routes taken, arrival/departure times, and any incidents that occur. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving in various road and weather conditions.
