Position Overview: Job Title: Director of IT Operations (Executive Track) Location: Rochester, NY Department: Information Technology Reports To: Chief Information Officer Employment Type: Full-Time Salary Range: $100,000 – $120,000 annually About the Opportunity This is a rapid-growth opportunity for a seasoned IT leader with proven technical depth, supervisory expertise, and strategic vision. This role is designed as a succession pathway to senior IT executive leadership within Lifetime Assistance. Reporting directly to the CIO, the Director of IT Operations will immediately assume oversight of daily IT operations while advancing a structured program of modernization and continuous improvement. Over a 1–2 year period, and with demonstrated success, this position will progress into a senior executive IT leadership role responsible for full departmental oversight, strategic planning, and enterprise-wide technology leadership. Your Core Responsibilities: • Oversee daily IT operations, ensuring network stability, infrastructure reliability, and high-performing end-user support. • Supervise, mentor, and develop IT staff, including performance management, hiring, and team development., • Refine and enhance IT operational processes, including help desk performance, patching, backup, monitoring, and system maintenance., • Support IT budget management, purchasing, and resource allocation., • Strengthen general IT and cybersecurity controls across the organization., • Partner with executive leadership to support ongoing infrastructure modernization and process improvements., • Advance IT operational excellence while maintaining compliance within a highly regulated human services environment., • Prepare for progressive responsibility in strategic IT planning, capital planning, enterprise application support, and Information Security oversight. What You Bring: • Deep technical knowledge of enterprise technology including WAN, Wi-Fi, end-user computing, Microsoft environments, data center, and cloud technologies. • Strong understanding of IT general controls and cybersecurity frameworks., • Expert-level knowledge of IT operational best practices (Help Desk operations, monitoring, patching, backup, etc.)., • 5+ years of supervisory or management experience in IT, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management., • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence across executive and operational levels., • Strong analytical thinking, organizational planning, and decision-making capabilities., • Commitment to long-term professional development and executive-level leadership growth.
