Position Overview The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance and functionality of areas across Community Corp.’s portfolio. This includes daily cleaning tasks, restocking supplies and ensuring a safe, clean and welcoming environment for all residents, employees and visitors. Compensation and Benefits The Pay Rate is $20.00 - $23.00. The Porter is eligible for the following benefits: • Medical insurance, • Dental and vision insurance, • 403b retirement plan, • 4 weeks of paid vacation, • 120 hours of sick time, • Paid holidays, • Paid sick leave, • Mileage reimbursement, • 9/80 work schedule, • Every other Friday off!, • Perform routine cleaning of lobbies, hallways, restrooms, elevators, stairwells and other common areas., • Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper, hand sanitizer, etc., • Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly., • Monitor and report any maintenance issues, such as broken fixtures, leaks, or hazards., • Respond promptly to cleaning requests and spills throughout the day., • Ensure floors are swept, mopped and/or vacuumed per set schedule., • Clean glass doors, windows, and surfaces to maintain a clean appearance per set schedule., • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and communicate needs to supervisor., • Adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals., • Work collaboratively with the team to provide friendly and responsive customer service., • Commitment to cleanliness and safety., • Strong attention to detail., • Willingness to learn, improve and adapt., • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively., • Strong problem solving skills., • At least 0-1 years of experience in janitorial, custodial or porter work required. The position does not carry any supervisory or management responsibility. Physical Requirements Ability to crouch, climb, and reach and lift heavy items. The ability to walk properties daily, exposed to outdoor elements. This position requires the ability to sit and use office equipment and computers. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Work Environment The ability to walk properties daily, exposed to outdoor elements. Travel Requirements Regular car travel, primarily in Santa Monica to visit properties in the CCSM portfolio.
