Position Summary The Employee Relations Specialist will work closely with senior HR leadership to support employee relations and core HR functions across assigned geographic regions. This role plays a key part in maintaining positive labor relations, ensuring compliance with employment laws, supporting investigations, and fostering strong relationships between employees and management. The ideal candidate is highly perceptive, discreet, and comfortable working with all levels of the organization in a dynamic, union-influenced environment. Compensation & Benefits • Base salary range: $64,500 – $72,500 annually, • Final compensation determined by experience, skills, education, and internal equity, • Comprehensive benefits package, including:, • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, • 401(k) plan with employer match, • Paid time off and paid holidays, • Wellness programs, • Employee discount and perk programs, • DailyPay access (early wage access), • Recognition and rewards platform, • Assist in the administration and execution of employee relations and HR programs across assigned locations, • Interpret and implement HR policies, procedures, and employment practices, • Partner with employees and management to communicate HR policies, labor laws, and regulatory requirements, • Maintain working relationships with union representatives and support adherence to labor agreements, • Support management with employee relations matters, including:, • Conflict resolution, • Coaching, • Disciplinary actions, • Assist with employee investigations, performance management, and corrective actions, • Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR-related inquiries (leaves, payroll concerns, benefits, vacation balances, etc.), • Support benefits administration and assist with open enrollment communications, • Act as liaison with legal partners on subpoenas, EEOC matters, and regulatory reporting, • Assist in responding to employee complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights claims, • Process and manage unemployment claims and attend hearings when required, • Review and submit FMLA, Leave of Absence, and Short-Term Disability documentation, • Facilitate or support employee training initiatives, • Prepare and maintain HR reports including turnover, headcount, and workforce metrics, • Ensure familiarity and compliance with company handbook and HR policies, • Participate in meetings, audits, and special HR projects, • Recommend improvements to HR processes, policies, and service delivery, • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in HR or Business preferred, • PHR certification a plus, • 2–4 years of HR experience required, • Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or operational environments preferred, • Aviation or cargo operations experience a plus, • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, • High level of discretion and confidentiality, • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, • Strong customer service mindset and problem-solving skills, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and internet-based systems, • Ability to remain stationary approximately 50% of the time, • Occasional movement within office environments, • Frequent use of computers and office equipment, • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, • Ability to lift and carry items up to 10 pounds, • Ability to communicate clearly in person and via telephone Equal Employment Opportunity The company is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
