Job Description Now Hiring: ASME Welder (GMAW & FCAW) Boardman, LLC Location: Oklahoma City, OK Job Type: Full-Time Industry: Industrial Fabrication / Pressure Vessels Why Join Us? If you take pride in quality welds, work efficiently, and want to be part of a team that values skill and reliability—this is your opportunity Key Responsibilities • Perform high-quality welds using GMAW (MIG) AND FCAW (Flux-Core) processes, • Weld in multiple positions while meeting ASME code requirements, • Maintain 95%+ X-ray (RT) pass rate and pass all visual inspections, • Read and interpret shop drawings and weld symbols accurately, • Perform arc gouging to proper depth and width, • Repair welds that fail NDE (Non-Destructive Examination), • Perform basic maintenance on welding equipment, • Safely operate (or learn to operate) overhead cranes, • Use hand tools (grinders, chipping hammers, etc.) safely and efficiently, • Handle material movement, grinding, and fit-up assistance as needed, • Maintain a clean and organized work area (housekeeping), • Support team development—mentor and train less experienced welders ️ Required Qualifications • Qualified in at least 2 welding processes (GMAW & FCAW required) with 2G & 3G being the minimum, • SAW is a plus (Submerged Arc Welding), • Strong understanding of ASME welding standards, • Proven ability to meet production goals without sacrificing quality, • Experience reading blueprints and weld symbols, • Skilled in gouging, grinding, and weld repair Skill Requirements • Pass ASME 2G & 3G weld test (GMAW root with FCAW fill & cap), • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs, • Comfortable with climbing, kneeling, bending, and confined space entry (manways), • Ability to safely operate or learn:, • Overhead cranes, • Forklifts, • Grinders and Hand tools, • Strong communication skills (verbal & written), • Basic equipment operation skills, • Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines and production schedules What We’re Looking For • Team players with a leader mindset, • Welders who take pride in clean, accurate work, • Individuals who thrive in a production-driven environment, • Reliable professionals who show up ready to perform Bonus Points If You Have: • Experience in pressure vessel or ASME fabrication shops, • Multi-process certifications (GMAW, FCAW, SAW, TIG), • Previous experience training or leading a crew What We Offer • Competitive pay based on experience, • Overtime opportunities, • Stable, long-term work, • Growth opportunities into leadership roles, • Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Life Insurance, Paid Time off) Apply Today If you’re a skilled welder ready to work in a high-performance environment, we want to hear from you.
