Specialized functions include: • Design Standards oversight, • Code review documentation routing, • Digital submissions & version authentication, • Confidential archive handling, • Workflow traceability & sealed document management The Engineering Technician Specialist will support CMCOM’s Design Standards documentation and code review oversight functions, ensuring secure handling, precise distribution, scheduling, and digital logging of all incoming and outgoing design documentation. This role requires zero-defect routing integrity, disciplined record tracking, confidentiality enforcement, and executive-level reporting. SCOPE OF WORK / RESPONSIBILITIES Under the direction of the Design Standards Unit Manager and Assistant Manager, the selected Engineering Technician Specialist will support TAA Code Review documentation workflows, sealed record processing, and secure design archive operations. Core responsibilities include: • Managing and filing all incoming and existing construction documents, ensuring proper organization, naming discipline, version tracking, and secure retention., • Serving as task leader for document control, overseeing receipt, logging, traceability, and distribution of all project documentation., • Utilizing Trimble (e-Builder), SharePoint, and CMCOM’s documentation systems to manage privileged and confidential design submissions., • Logging and transferring finalized documents to official archives in accordance with CMCOM retention protocols and digital governance standards., • Coordinating and monitoring all multi-discipline review assignments, including engineering, architectural, code compliance, fire/life safety, and structural review routing., • Maintaining a comprehensive database of all incoming and outgoing plan sets, sealed material, redlines, review cycles, and record actions., • Preparing weekly reports summarizing TAAs received, review status, assigned actions, and pending items requiring escalation., • Uploading sealed review comments, memoranda, design markups, decision files, and technical documentation into certified digital platforms. Candidates must demonstrate the following minimum competencies: • Zero-defect routing and documentation accuracy., • Confidentiality compliance under CMCOM governance., • Executive-level formatting and reporting discipline., • Predictive tracking of review cycles and deadlines., • Preservation of document lineage and metadata accuracy.
