Job Description The Facilities Supervisor supports the daily operation, maintenance, and readiness of manufacturing facility systems. This role assists with facility buildout activities, coordinates maintenance and vendor work, and ensures safe, reliable, and compliant operation of building systems. The Facilities Supervisor works closely with the Facility Manager, contractors, and internal teams to maintain operational continuity and support plant needs. Scheduled is form 8am-5pm Monday through Friday! Key Responsibilities: Facility Operations & Support · Support facility development activities, including equipment installation, system readiness, and commissioning tasks. · Assist with review of drawings, layouts, and work plans to ensure alignment with facility requirements. · Coordinate daily facility activities to support production and operational needs. · Respond to after-hours facility or emergency issues as needed. Maintenance & Reliability · Supervise and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems. · Support reliability and energy management initiatives with a focus on electrical safety and uptime. · Track work orders, maintenance schedules, and system performance. · Assist with troubleshooting facility and utility issues to minimize downtime. Vendor & Contractor Coordination · Coordinate on-site contractors, service providers, and vendors performing facility-related work. · Monitor contractor compliance with safety rules, schedules, and scope of work. · Escalate issues related to performance, safety, or quality to the Facility Manager. Safety & Compliance · Enforce OSHA, NFPA, NEC, and local building code requirements during daily operations. · Promote safe work practices and support a zero-incident culture. · Participate in safety inspections, audits, and corrective action follow-up. High-Voltage & Electrical Support · Support maintenance and operation of electrical distribution systems, including transformers, switchgear, UPS, and generators. · Assist with switching operations, equipment isolation, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) activities under approved procedures. · Support inspections, fault investigations, and corrective actions related to electrical systems. · Ensure SOPs and preventive maintenance activities are followed. Team Supervision · Provide daily direction to facilities technicians and maintenance staff. · Support training and development of team members, including safety and technical skills. · Assist with scheduling, task assignment, and performance feedback. Education / Experience • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field preferred., • 5–7 years of experience in facilities maintenance, construction support, or industrial environments., • Experience supporting manufacturing or high-voltage facility systems preferred., • Prior experience supervising technicians or contractors strongly preferred. Skills • Working knowledge of facility systems, utilities, and electrical safety practices., • Familiarity with OSHA, NFPA 70E, NEC, and local code requirements., • Ability to troubleshoot facility issues and coordinate corrective actions., • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills., • Ability to respond effectively to urgent facility or safety issues. Work Environment • Manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and facility systems., • Frequent movement between office areas, shop floor, and equipment rooms., • Combination of climate-controlled indoor spaces and outdoor work areas., • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods., • Manual dexterity to operate tools, equipment, and computer systems., • Visual and auditory ability to perform tasks safely., • Exposure to temperature changes, moving equipment, and moderate noise., • Work safely around electrical and mechanical systems using required PPE., • Stand, walk, climb ladders, and access elevated areas., • Lift and carry tools or equipment up to 50 lbs., • Work indoors and outdoors, including utility and equipment areas.
