About Us: Overview: The Dining Services Director at a Brightview community serves as a champion and coach to our team of dining associates, and an advocate to our residents with a goal of effectively managing the day to day dining services operation, but also by ensuring that our current and future residents are delivered exceptional service, delicious food, and interesting and exciting dining options. Responsibilities: In this role, you will build, develop and manage all of the community’s dietary associates, and will work to establish a communication plan which includes our team, the residents, the family members and our guests with the goal of assuring that we are delivering excellent care and nutrition to our residents. We’re Tasting Collective (tastingcollective.com), the nation’s largest private supper club community on a mission to reinvent the traditional dining experience. Every month, we team up with top independent restaurants all over the country to turn their dining rooms into culinary stages upon which their chefs get to put on a show (and form meaningful human connections with our food-obsessed members). We currently operate our dining club in 18 cities, and we’re looking for a talented NYC Event Lead to help produce our events at the city’s best restaurants (in a part-time, but ongoing, capacity). As our NYC Event Lead, you’ll be the face of Tasting Collective at our events. You will interface directly with the city’s most acclaimed chefs, restaurant staff, and our members, to make sure our events run seamlessly. Your responsibilities will include setting up our event equipment at restaurants (e.g. PA system, guest name tags, menus), configure seating charts, welcoming attendees, emceeing + leading Q&A with Chef, and packing up/returning equipment to our storage unit post-event. Minimize china, glass, vessel, and décor breakage by overseeing FOH & BOH during setup and events. Have knowledge of all cleaning products and proper usage. MAINTENANCE & INVENTORY Maintain both facilities in a neat, organized, and sanitary manner. Conduct regular walk-throughs to ensure proper maintenance and upkeep. Supervise all cleaning and sanitation for all front-of-house and back-of-house areas (including storage rooms) at all times while working off a checklist. Maintain general inventory of maintenance tools, light bulbs, and cleaning supplies. Responsible for inventory, requisitioning, and storage of linen. Perform and oversee routine maintenance of spaces, including touch-up painting, changing light bulbs, and other general repairs. POSITION DESCRIPTION The Director, Development Operations is responsible for JALC’s fundraising infrastructure and overseeing its fundraising-related operations. As a key strategic partner, the Director will help set and execute fundraising strategies alongside the senior Development team. The individual oversees financial and budgetary reporting and analysis needs for senior leadership to help drive decision making around fundraising activities and ensure new systems and business practices are implemented, on par with leading industry standards, to enable JALC’s fundraising goals to be efficiently and effectively met. Overview of Responsibilities ● Manage all correspondence with guests via phone and email in relation to retail wine and merchandise sales ● Assist guests with retail wine and merchandise selection ● Drive Wine Club member sign-ups and manage after sales service, including updating Resy, master wine club spreadsheet, and monthly member pick up ● Drive retail wine sales by offering weekly onsite tastings ● Help educate front of house staff on retail wine and merchandise ● Have a proficient understanding of our POS and inventory software (Toast, Houseager, Beveager), and ensure that the retail screen is accurate and current ● Coordinate with Retail Wine Director on all seasonal wine and merchandise promotions ● Oversee organization, layout and inventory of the onsite retail shelves ● Always maintain organized and presentable sales floor ● Conduct building and winery tours for interested guests ● All other reasonably assigned duties, tasks, projects, implementations, as per business need Minimum Qualifications ● Minimum 1-year prior experience in a retail wine setting, or customer service role in a hospitality setting ● Understanding of the major wine varietals, tasting notes, wine service and wine production ● Exceptional hospitality and guest service skills ● Polished presentation ● Proficient typing and computer skills ● Aptitude in resolving issues with a customer-focused orientation ● Effective communication skills both written and verbal ● Ability to work both independently and in a team environment ● Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays ● Must be fluently literate in English including ability to read, write, and communicate, conduct business related mathematics and analyze data ● Must be able to sit for extended periods of time; stand and walk regularly; occasionally lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. when needed About Us Wine, food, and live entertainment collide at City Winery to create a dynamic and incredibly unique workplace. As a Camp Art Specialist, you will be directly responsible for implementing weekly Art activities, in coordination with your Camp Director.
