Job Description Job description: Position Overview Relocation packet provided, NC or VA. We are seeking an experienced Industrial Superintendent with a strong background in wastewater treatment plant construction to oversee field operations on complex industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have 5–10+ years of experience specifically within the wastewater treatment sector and possess a thorough understanding of treatment plant processes, safety compliance, scheduling, and crew leadership. This role is responsible for managing daily jobsite operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities • Provide on-site leadership and supervision for wastewater treatment plant construction projects, • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, field personnel, and self-perform crews, • Interpret and execute project plans, specifications, shop drawings, and contracts, • Develop and maintain short-term schedules in alignment with the master project schedule, • Ensure strict compliance with OSHA, federal, state, and local safety regulations, • Lead daily safety meetings, enforce site safety policies, and promote a safety-first culture, • Coordinate inspections, testing, and commissioning activities, • Oversee installation of:, • Process piping systems, • Mechanical equipment (pumps, blowers, clarifiers, digesters, etc.), • Structural concrete and formwork, • Underground utilities and sitework, • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Owners, and Inspectors, • Identify and proactively resolve field issues to avoid delays or cost overruns, • Monitor productivity and quality control standards, • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in industrial construction, • Demonstrated experience specifically in wastewater treatment plant construction, • Strong knowledge of treatment plant processes and industrial systems, • OSHA 30 Certification (required), • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications, • Proven leadership experience managing crews and subcontractors, • Strong understanding of industrial mechanical, structural, and civil components, • Familiarity with scheduling software and construction management tools, • Experience with large-scale municipal or private wastewater treatment facilities, • Knowledge of pump stations, lift stations, clarifiers, aeration systems, digesters, and SCADA systems, • Experience coordinating startup and commissioning phases, • Field-based position on active industrial construction sites, • Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, • Requires standing, walking, climbing, and working in outdoor conditions, • Competitive salary based on experience, • Health, dental, and vision insurance, • Paid time off and holidays, • Retirement plan options Benefits: • 401(k), • 401(k) matching, • Dental insurance, • Health insurance, • Life insurance, • Paid time off, • Relocation assistance, • Retirement plan, • Vision insurance
