The Opportunity Reporting to the Vice President, Infrastructure, the Director of Design and Manufacturing is responsible for leading and directing Access TeleCare’s product management for hardware-focused projects and managing the end-to-end supply chain for hardware products including planning, sourcing, production, and delivery. The Director of Design and Manufacturing is responsible for efficient and timely delivery while optimizing the supply chain for cost-effectiveness and sustainability. What You’ll Do • Lead and direct the full product lifecycle for hardware projects, from concept to delivery, • Collaborate with product development and software engineering teams to define hardware specifications, development timelines, and product release schedules, • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for hardware products, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market demands, • Track product milestones and timelines, ensuring on-time delivery of hardware products, • Oversee product documentation, quality standards, and post-launch support, • Oversee and manage the entire supply chain for hardware products, from sourcing and procurement to production, quality control, and distribution, • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics providers to ensure reliable and cost-effective deliver, • Coordinate with internal teams to manage inventory levels, demand forecasting, and fulfillment schedules, • Implement strategies to mitigate supply chain risks, such as delays, shortages, or quality issues, and proactively solve problems that may arise, • Analyze supply chain data to optimize processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency, • Work closely with the software engineering team to understand product requirements and ensure feasibility in the context of both hardware design and potential supply chain constraints, • Communicate regularly with clinical, sales, marketing, and customer support teams to align on product launches, market feedback, and customer needs, • Identify and address potential bottlenecks or inefficiencies across teams, facilitating effective solutions to maintain project momentum, • Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including vendor disruptions, regulatory compliance issues, and production delay, • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline product delivery processes, reduce lead times, and enhance overall product quality, • Lead and implement sustainability initiatives within the supply chain and product management process, aiming for environmentally friendly sourcing and manufacturing practices, • Provide direct supervision of staff, including assignment of work tasks, coaching and general performance management, • Coach, develop and mentor direct reports with an emphasis on building career paths for professional growth., • Administer progressive discipline, including corrective action, when necessary, to ensure high levels of job performance and compliance with company policy., • Conduct formal performance appraisals for all direct reports and develops action plans for continued development and performance improvement., • Manages payroll activities for direct reports to include timekeeping, approval for time off requests, and other administrative functions., • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, or a related field, • MBA or advanced degree preferred, • At least 7 years of related work experience, • At least 5 years of experience in managing manufacturing and supply chain within the healthcare hardware industry, • At least 3 years of experience in healthcare hardware product management, • Proven understanding of hardware development processes and ability to manage cross-functional teams, • Proven track record of delivering complex hardware products on time and within budget, • Deep experience with delivering product in a healthcare setting with an emphasis on acute care medicine and remote patient care is preferred, • Experience with supply chain management and international logistics, • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and agile product management methodologies, • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, • Experience with supply chain technologies (e.g., ERP, supply chain management software) and tools for product lifecycle management (e.g., PDM, PLM systems), • Experience with inventory management using the Salesforce platform preferred, • Experience with cloud-based mobile device management solutions (e.g., Jamf, Kaseya) preferred, • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders, • Proven problem-solving ability, with the ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day operational challenges, • Excellent analytical skills, with experience analyzing supply chain data to improve efficiency and reduce costs, • Ability to thrive in high growth, fast-paced organization, • Preference is for candidate to be local to the Dallas area, but remote work opportunities are an option, • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time, • Strong total compensation, with base
