Marketing • Local Marketing: Assist in local marketing initiatives to promote programs and increase community involvement., • Social Media: Assist with creating and managing social media platforms to engage with customers and drive interest in the swim school., • Community Relations: Partner with the General Manager to strengthen relationships with local businesses and organizations, enhancing community visibility. Non-Dedicated Facilities • A non-dedicated facility is where swim lessons are held at a fitness center or hotel pool., • Pay: Based on experience, location and volume impacts, • Weekdays, Weeknights and Weekends required, • 30+ hours a week (seasonality can impact this), • Work Location: On-site, • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; some college coursework preferred., • Supervisory or team leadership experience in aquatics, education, or related field preferred., • Strong written and verbal communication skills, • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while being agile and taking initiative, • Comfortable working around water and interacting with children and parents., • Must be able to lift 30 lbs. and be on your feet for long periods, • CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications are required within 90 days of hire (we provide), • Lifeguard certification is preferred, • Prior swim experience is preferred #slbspo

Position Summary: Queens Healthy Start is seeking a bilingual Community Health Worker who will provide home visiting and case management services to low-income parents and their infants under 18 months of age residing in South Queens, including the neighborhoods of Jamaica, Howard Beach, Queens Village, and Far Rockaway. Specifically, the Community Health Worker will: • Provide case management for up to 30 clients at any given time through one-on-one interactions with families including home visits, office visits, or community visits (i.e. meeting at a local library or park),, • Provide health education and parenting support using the Parents as Teachers curriculum,, • Conduct basic health and social assessments, assist families to identify needs, establish goals, provide basic health information, and make appropriate referrals through weekly, biweekly or monthly home visits,, • Provide advocacy, support and follow-up to determine if services are received and help reduce barriers to receiving support, and assist families with health behavior changes,, • Provide ongoing follow up with clients, utilize basic motivational interviewing and goal setting with patients/families around their health and personal goals,, • Maintain documentation of home visits, client interactions, and assessments using case management software, Well Family System GoBeyond,, • Occasionally conduct or assist in conducting educational support groups and workshops,, • Conduct community outreach (attending baby showers or other tabling events) on behalf of the Queens Healthy Start program as needed,, • Perform other duties assigned.
