Job DescriptionJob Title: Automation Assembly Technician Job Description The Automation Assembly Technician builds and assembles automated production machinery, subassemblies, cables, and power units while following detailed blueprints and schematics. This role works hands-on with mechanical and electrical components in a manufacturing environment, ensuring high-quality, reliable equipment that meets customer specifications. Responsibilities • Build automation assemblies, subassemblies, cables, and power units for automated production machinery and equipment., • Interpret and use blueprints and schematics to ensure all assemblies conform to specifications and quality standards., • Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete assembly tasks., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation in accordance with company standards., • Follow all company procedures, standards, and policies throughout the assembly process., • Contribute to an environment of open communication, collaboration, and teamwork with peers and leadership., • Perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments on assemblies to meet functional requirements., • Inspect work for accuracy and quality, ensuring products meet customer needs and specifications.Essential Skills, • At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment., • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand how mechanical systems and components function., • Hands-on experience in manufacturing assembly and subassembly., • Basic knowledge of hydraulics, including understanding of hydraulic components and their function in machinery., • Basic knowledge of pneumatics and pneumatic components used in automated equipment., • Basic understanding of automation systems and related components., • Basic electrical assembly experience, including working with electrical components and wiring., • Ability to read, comprehend, and apply information from blueprints and schematics., • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work., • Ability to follow established procedures, standards, and safety practices.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Previous experience with assembly, hydraulics, welding, and repair within a manufacturing environment is preferred., • Demonstrated desire to learn and expand technical skills in automation and manufacturing., • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team., • Strong sense of responsibility to meet customer needs and specifications., • Good communication skills to support open communication and teamwork.Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a manufacturing environment focused on building automated production machinery and power units. You work hands-on with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components, using hand and power tools on a daily basis. The role involves working at a dedicated workstation that you are expected to keep clean, organized, and safe, in line with company standards and procedures. Work is collaborative, with frequent interaction and communication with other technicians and team members to complete assemblies and meet production goals. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Syracuse, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
