Job Description Pride Health is hiring a Lab Clerk to support our client's medical facility based in Seattle, WA, 98104. This is a 5-month assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Job Details: Job Name: Lab Clerk Location: Seattle, WA, 98104 Duration: 5 months Contract (Possibilities of extension) Payrate: $21-22/hr. On W2 (Pay Rate is based on experience.) Schedule: Mon to Fri (5 days/ wk.) | 11:30 AM to 8 PM or 10 AM to 6:30 PM (40 hrs. wk.) Job Responsibilities: • Perform high-volume specimen accessioning and processing, including receipt, patient ID verification, labeling, centrifugation, aliquoting, sorting, and distribution of blood, urine, and other specimens per SOPs., • Utilize LIS and EHR systems to enter, review, and verify specimen data; ensure accurate test orders, specimen tracking, and documentation integrity., • Prepare and load specimens onto laboratory analyzers and support equipment (e.g., centrifuges, printers/copiers) following established workflow and safety protocols., • Provide front-line phone and customer support for providers, clinics, and patients regarding test orders, specimen requirements, and result inquiries; triage and relay messages appropriately., • Communicate with reference laboratories to coordinate send-out testing, resolve test/order discrepancies, and ensure timely receipt and documentation of external results., • Complete laboratory documentation including incident reports, reference lab requisitions, specimen problem logs, and scanning/indexing of external results into the EHR for provider review., • Monitor and perform basic laboratory maintenance, including temperature logs, freezer defrosting, equipment cleaning, and adherence to preventive maintenance schedules., • Support quality assurance and process improvement initiatives (QI/Lean), maintain regulatory compliance, and complete required training, competencies, and departmental meetings., • Maintain a professional, team-oriented work environment, demonstrating effective communication, accountability, and respectful interaction with staff, providers, and patients.
