Requirements: The Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing day-to-day administrative support to the Accounting Department. This role performs a variety of accounting and clerical duties, including timesheet administration, cash receipt processing, check deposits and accounts payable support. • Serve as the primary Timesheet Clerk, administering the timekeeping system to ensure timely and accurate submission of employee timesheets., • Review timesheets for completeness, proper coding, and supervisory approval, and follow up on missing or incorrect entries., • Assist Payroll with reviewing, correcting, and processing time sheet adjustments., • Retrieve, log, and deposit incoming checks and payments (including remote deposits), and accurately enter and apply cash receipts to customer invoices in the accounting system., • Maintain organized deposit documentation and assist with researching and resolving unapplied or misapplied cash., • Provide backup support for Accounts Payable or Payroll processing, as needed., • High School Diploma or GED plus two years of accounting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience., • Knowledge of general accounting practices., • Experience with accounting software, Costpoint preferred., • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications., • Must have strong customer service and interpersonal skills., • High accuracy and attention to detail.
