Job Overview The Safety and Training Specialist is responsible for leading, implementing, and continuously improving safety, training, and risk‑management programs across Grupo EULEN’s Facility Services Division. This role champions a strong safety culture, ensures full compliance with OSHA and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations, and drives consistent, high‑quality training standards across multiple client sites. This position requires regular travel within and outside the state to conduct training, inspections, audits, and risk assessments. The EHS Coordinator works closely with operations leadership to proactively reduce risk, strengthen incident prevention, and ensure timely reporting, investigation, and closure of all incidents and accidents. Key responsibilities Safety Leadership & Compliance • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of company-wide safety programs, policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Facility Services operations., • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT (as applicable), and all federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations., • Serve as the primary safety resource for operations leaders, supervisors, and frontline employees., • Promote a proactive, prevention‑focused safety culture with strong employee engagement and accountability., • Develop, implement, and enforce OSHA‑compliant cleaning chemical procedures, including Hazard Communication (HazCom), Safety Data Sheets (SDS), labeling, storage, handling, and disposal., • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment., • Conduct regular audits to verify compliance with chemical safety programs and best practices across all sites. Training & Risk Assessments • Plan, coordinate, and deliver safety and operational training programs for new hires, supervisors, and existing employees., • Ensure all required safety training (OSHA, chemical safety, PPE, equipment use, emergency response, and client‑specific requirements) is completed, documented, and refreshed as required., • Coach and mentor supervisors and managers to reinforce safety expectations and safe work behaviors., • Conduct routine and unannounced job‑site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments across all assigned locations., • Evaluate buildings, facilities, tools, equipment, and work practices; document findings and track corrective actions through closure., • Prepare clear, professional inspection reports with corrective and preventive action recommendations. Incident & Accident Management & Documentation • Lead the reporting, investigation, management, and closure of all incidents, accidents, and injuries., • Perform root cause analysis and trend analysis to identify systemic risks and implement preventive measures., • Ensure timely and accurate completion of OSHA logs, workers’ compensation documentation, and internal incident reports., • Partner with operations and HR to support return‑to‑work and corrective action processes., • Maintain all safety records, logs, training documentation, and audit files in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements., • Track key safety metrics and provide regular reports to leadership with actionable insights and recommendations. Emergency Preparedness & Collaboration • Support corporate emergency preparedness, response, and evacuation procedures., • Participate in operational and leadership meetings and maintain a strong on‑site presence., • Perform other duties as assigned in support of operational excellence and safety objectives. Key Qualifications Education • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)., • Valid driver’s license. Experience • Minimum of 4 years of experience in safety management, training, compliance, or a related field., • Proven experience conducting risk assessments and managing incidents from report through closure., • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard communication, chemical safety, and incident investigation., • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and web‑based applications. Skills • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)., • Strong leadership, coaching, and people‑management skills., • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and meeting‑facilitation skills., • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and conflict‑resolution abilities., • Ability to plan strategically and manage multiple priorities., • Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices and continuous improvement., • Ability to foster a positive safety culture and promote hazard awareness and reporting., • Flexibility to work extended hours, evenings, weekends, or irregular schedules as operational needs require. Travel This position requires 60% regular travel. Regular travel is required to multiple client and operational locations within and outside of the state for training, inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
