American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Indianapolis, Indiana. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Labor and Delivery, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 10/27/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 48 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, days, • Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit caring for a variety of obstetric patients, • Unit averages 200-300 births per month with high acuity and complex cases, • Shift options include 3x12 or 4x12 hour day shifts, • May float to Methodist Hospital Emergency Department to provide OB-specific care alongside a primary RN; an early arrival for orientation is required, • Cerner is the charting system used and prior experience is required, • Responsibilities include care for complex OB conditions such as high-risk deliveries, VBAC, multiple gestations, and emergency intervention for complications such as hemorrhage and preeclampsia, • Skills required include EFM and internal fetal monitoring, IUPC placement, NSTs, medication and infusion therapy, neonatal resuscitation, and newborn assessment, • May be required to assist in vaginal and cesarean deliveries, postpartum care, and newborn stabilization, • Must be willing to float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed, • Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the assignment, • RTO requests of 5 days or less can be auto-approved, • Scrub color is not specified; confirm dress code before assignment, • First-time travelers are not accepted\n \n Requirements\n, • Active IN or compact RN license required and must be in hand prior to start, • A minimum of 18 months Labor & Delivery RN experience is required, • Current BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications required (AWHONN can pend before start), • L&D travel experience is required, • Must have graduated from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program, • Cerner EMR experience is required, • Not accepting local candidates, • Previous permanent or PRN employees must have a 12-month separation before being eligible for traveler consideration\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
