The Practice Liaison represents US Fertility to the referring provider community, our industry partners, and our patients within a geographical area. Essential Job Functions: • Work hand-in-hand with Community School Director in daily program operations and functions, • Work with school leadership to maintain a focus on results and track progress. Ensure that New York Edge is capturing, and analyzing data while functioning in a data driven manner., • Directly responsible for overall supervision of community school support specialists and success mentors’ for day school program., • Assist in the educational and social development of students under the direction and guidance of the facilitator and classroom teachers., • Ensures that they are trained in the methodology employed during the school day in regards to instruction, • Encourage and lead projects that foster academic, cultural and artistic growth., • Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities., • Responsible for recruitment and supervision of dedicated staff that meet the highest standards of qualifications in carrying out the mission of Community Schools and New York Edge, • In conjunction with academic support specialist, assesses student progress and communicates such to teachers and school administrators., • Works with academic support specialists and subject teachers to provide student support in various curriculum areas., • Must attend Professional Developments offered by New York Edge and Department of Education faculty., • Identify high need students, coordinate with teachers to target interventions, and track and monitor impact of interventions., • Build relationships and mechanisms to effectively link the school day to expanded learning opportunities, • Communicate program’s challenges, progress and success with Program Director, will perform projects assigned at the discretion of the Program Director, • Support students with emotional or behavior concerns and assist them in developing appropriate social skills., • Coordinate the allocation of space for student and family support services, and for special events., • He/she fosters an atmosphere of fun and learning and serves as a role model to youth, always conducting him/herself in the utmost professional manner and maintaining appropriate boundaries, • Promotes positive character development in all youth, • Participate in school governance, community school team meetings, and specialized meetings such as attendance meetings. Position Summary The Mentorship and Afterschool Manager will provide oversight of 10 + afterschool clubs; success mentorship attendance intervention; youth leadership and enrichment building activities; and general administrative duties at RHHS. Additionally, they will serve as a strategic partner to the Community School Director. Reports To: Community School Director Supervises: Afterschool Club Activity Specialists and additional program staff as determined by the Community School Director (CSD) Compensation: $65,000-75,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications Responsibilities Afterschool Club and Lunchtime Programming: * Manage all aspects of afterschool and lunchtime clubs. * Coordinate all club-related activities, trips and special events. * Collaborate with colleagues to promote SAYA clubs through outreach efforts (email, social media, classroom, and cafeteria visits) and supervise club advisors in sustaining consistent recruitment and retention. * Review curricula, unit and lesson plans created by club advisors to ensure activities integrate culturally-responsive, socially conscious, and social-emotional learning (SEL) skills. * Liaise with in-school staff, vendors, and external stakeholders to coordinate space, food, supplies, and visitors for club programming * Collaborate with staff, student leaders, and alumni mentors to ensure timely purchase orders and proper distribution of all materials and resources. * Ensure proper tracking, organization, and record-keeping of attendance sheets, applications, event and trip forms, and other documentation. * Work with the Community School Director to ensure proper club budget monitoring . * Support training and growth of club advisors and student leaders. Mentorship, Post-Secondary and Special Events * Work with Community School Director, Wellness Center staff, attendance Success Mentor team, and RHHS staff to plan and facilitate youth, parent, and community-based activities, workshops, and special events. * Partner with School’s Academy Directors to plan career-related experiences and events. * Oversee various mentoring initiatives, ensuring effective implementation, participant engagement, and progress tracking. * Collaborate with school staff and SAYA’s postsecondary team to provide students with guidance, resources, and opportunities that support their college and career readiness. Deepening of Community School Strategy and Measuring Impact * Serve as a strategic thought partner to the Community School Director on continuously improving, deepening and expanding SAYA’s role as a community school partner at Richmond Hill High School. * Build partnerships with school administrators and other key staff. * Support Community School Director in training staff and students with integrating SEL, socially conscious, and culturally relevant material within in-school and afterschool programming. * Participate in school-wide Community School Initiatives, including vision screenings and glasses distribution, immigration legal support clinics, and other initiatives as assigned. * Implement SEL assessment tools in afterschool and other enrichment activities. Qualifications: * Bachelor degree in relevant fields (Education, Social Work, Youth Development) * At least 4 years of experience managing after-school programs in the nonprofit sector and facilitating workshops with high school youth in public school settings, preferably in collaboration with NYC public schools. * Committed to frameworks of social justice, social-emotional learning (SEL), positive youth development, and culturally responsive sustaining education (CRSE), with experience coordinating programs grounded in critical pedagogy. * Outstanding outreach, verbal, written communication and public speaking skills * Highly flexible, detail-oriented, and open to feedback, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt creatively to changing program needs in a fast-paced environment. * Excellent proficiency in Canva and Google Suite, including Google Spreadsheet, Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Drive, Google Forms, MS-Excel * Understanding of issues facing immigrant youth, youth of color, working class, and undocumented youth in the US * Willingness to support larger SAYA and SAYA RHHS team with various tasks as is needed, must be open to and contribute to supportive team culture across programs * Bilingual highly preferred (Spanish, Punjabi, Arabic) Additional Information * This position is in-person * While we value work/life balance, due to the nature of this position, this role will sometimes require work on evenings and weekends.
