We’re seeking a skilled and experienced paralegal to support our growing elder law legal team by working on probate, trust administration, and light litigation matters. The ideal candidate for this position will use their work experience and organizational skills to manage files, prepare and maintain legal forms/documents, e-file documents, manage and adhere to strict deadlines, communicate with clients and professionals, and more. Compensation: $22 - $28 hourly Responsibilities: • Aid lawyers in trial preparation by preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, conducting research on legal articles, and assisting with client meetings and filing motions, • Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits under the guidance of a lawyer, • Organize our case filing systems to ensure all documents are properly sorted and easy to locate, and other administrative duties as needed, • Draft subpoenas and coordinate with process servers, • Gather information about legal issues from the client in interviews, • Assist lawyers in trial preparation by preparing and filing pleadings, preparing and organizing exhibits for hearings, conducting legal research, organizing and coordinating witnesses, and assisting with client meetings, • Be the point person/primary contact for assigned files, maintain and update a spreadsheet of current matters and status, • Perform all matter-related work, including drafting legal documents, correspondence, forms, and more, under the supervision of a lawyer, • Correspondence (in person, in writing, and via telephone) with clients and other parties involved in matters, • Accurate timekeeping, • Organize and maintain electronic and physical case filing systems to ensure all documents are properly sorted and easy to locate, • Ongoing training and skill development, • Assisting with other legal matters and duties as assignedQualifications:, • Candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have advanced paralegal education will receive preference, • 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting, • Must have strong interpersonal skills and talent for writing and grammar, • Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skillsAbout Company Salines-Mondello Law Firm, PC, is a growing boutique law firm focusing on Elder Law, Estate Planning, and Special Needs Planning.
