ABOUT THE POSITION The Delivery Driver functions as part of the Delivery Department and is responsible for loading, transporting, and unloading various customer and rental equipment from our branch locations and customer sites. In this role, you will: • Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections ensuring all essential components are operational and proper load securement adhering to all DOT regulations., • Load, Unload, and Transport equipment to and from pre-determined locations with safety and compliance as your top priority., • Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members, sharing relevant information and reporting any issues promptly. The employee will encounter varying weather conditions and temperatures. The normal auto hazards will apply., • will continuously be required to talk and hear; constantly required to sit, regularly required to stand, bend, squat and walk, frequently required to climb and crawl., • must be able to occasionally lift up to 100 lbs. and frequently lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 128 lbs. Job DescriptionDescription: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Communicating with patients and scheduling patient appointments as well as confirming future appointments and phone confirmation of next day evals., • Communicate visit cost to patients and explain as needed patient benefits., • Collect patient payments and pull visit totals and batch collections at end of the day., • Communicating with rehabilitation staff and therapist as needed to clarify referral requests and scheduling needs., • Collect and verify patient demographics and insurance information and pull in-take packets for following day. Scan documents into EMR as needed., • Assists Rehabilitation Front Office Supervisor in special projects., • Answer incoming Rehabilitation Department phone calls and check faxes., • Assist in maintaining goals for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, and treatment compliance through service to patient needs and request in the capacity of the position., • Manage patient cancelations per department protocol including scheduling from wait list., • Assist in creating new patient charts., • Confirm DME proof of delivery and ABN documents., • Schedule progress notes due. Requirements: EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. EXPERIENCE: One year of experience in out-patient rehabilitation preferred. KNOWLEDGE: • Knowledge of computer systems and EMR software., • Knowledge of phone systems., • Knowledge of rehabilitation terminology and insurance/payor rules and regulations., • Skill in effectively communicating with patients and staff., • Skill in using a computer system/EMR., • Ability to establish/maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers and staff., • Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form. Normal office environment. Some travel within community. PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment. Some bending and stretching required. Manual dexterity using a calculator and computer keyboard. Ability to lift 25 lbs. Demands of occasional kneeling, squatting, and overhead lifting. ORGANIZATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: • LOS employee handbook must be read, and acknowledgement receipt signed., • OSHA Requirements and training.
