Job Description Basic Job Functions: • Ensure Oracle WMS/ERP transactions are performed accurately and in a timely manner., • Ensures First Solar Core Values are adhered to and promote teamwork to achieve the company’s mission., • Accountable for shipment processing (finished goods/non-finished goods), scheduling pick-ups and creation of shipment documentation., • Responsible for updating internal tracking systems and communicating shipment status to the requestor(s)., • Supports the department’s continuous improvement activities, assist with physical inventories and cycle count activities as well., • High School or GED equivalent required., • College coursework, certification or formal training are highly desired., • Minimum of 3 years of warehouse (shipping/receiving) experience required., • Cycle counting experience is beneficial., • Knowledge of inventory control procedures and practices, • Organized, attentive to detail & functions with a high degree of accuracy, • Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively, • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written, • Responsible for the resulting inventory and data entry reports and their accuracy, • Assist with physical inventories and monthly cycle count activities., • Analyze and investigate inventory variances. Implement correct actions as needed to reduce/eliminate variances., • Assist with finish good and WIP inventories activities, • Process outbound shipment requests., • Prioritize shipment requests based on the requestor delivery dates., • Process offsite warehouse shipment requests. Update internal tracking system(s) as necessary to reflect offsite shipments., • Support the creation of shipping export/import documents., • Support continuous improvement activities., • Serves as a back-up to other key Inventory Control positions., • Established and promotes good housekeeping and safety practices., • Maintains a proper level of communication and fosters team building., • This position requires travel between the First Solar plants. Manufacturing & Maintenance Physical Requirements: • Will sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to 12 hours per day., • Will climb stairs on a frequent basis., • Will lift up to 58 pounds on an occasional basis, according to work instruction., • Will lift up to 37 pounds on a frequent basis., • Will push or pull up to 27 pounds of force on an occasional basis., • Will push or pull up to 10 pounds of force on a frequent basis., • Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects repetitively on a frequent basis., • 20/40 vision in each eye (with or without correction) and the ability to distinguish between red, yellow, and green is required., • May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis., • May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis., • Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
