The Safety Manager is responsible for implementing, managing, and enforcing project-specific safety programs to ensure full compliance with OSHA standards, Owner requirements, General Contractor expectations, and All Tech Electric safety policies. This role serves as the primary on-site safety authority and works proactively to prevent incidents, mitigate risk, and promote a culture of safety excellence across all phases of construction. Specific Responsibilities: Safety Program Implementation & Oversight • Implement, manage, and enforce the project-specific safety program in accordance with applicable OSHA, Owner, and General Contractor requirements., • Serve as the primary on-site safety authority and point of contact for all safety-related matters., • Maintain authority to stop work for unsafe conditions, behaviors, or non-compliance., • Coordinate safety activities and expectations with the General Contractor and Owner safety representatives., • Prepare, manage, review, issue, track, and close all safety documentation, including:, • Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs/AHAs), • Hot work permits, • Lift plans, • Energized electrical work permits (if applicable), • Lockout/Tagout documentation, • Pre-task plans, • Daily Safe Work Plans, • Corrective action reports, • Maintain organized, accurate, and current safety records accessible to the General Contractor and Owner., • Prepare and submit all required incident, inspection, and safety reports within required timeframes., • Conduct daily, documented jobsite safety inspections of all active work areas., • Identify unsafe acts and conditions and implement immediate corrective actions., • Monitor and enforce proper personal protective equipment (PPE) use at all times., • Verify inspection, condition, and safe use of tools, equipment, ladders, lifts, and rigging., • Oversee high-risk activities including:, • Electrical work, • Lifting and rigging operations, • Elevated work and fall protection, • Hot work, • Powered equipment operation, • Conduct site-specific safety orientations for all personnel prior to site access., • Develop, deliver, and document weekly toolbox talks and safety meetings., • Ensure all workers are properly trained, qualified, and authorized for assigned tasks., • Maintain all safety training records, certifications, and sign-in documentation., • Respond to, investigate, and document all incidents, injuries, and near-miss events., • Perform incident investigations and root cause analysis., • Implement corrective and preventative measures to mitigate future risk., • Participate in coordination meetings and look-ahead planning to identify and mitigate upcoming safety risks., • Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen to integrate safety planning into daily operations. Qualifications • Minimum 3+ years of construction field experience; electrical construction experience preferred., • OSHA 30-hour certification, • OSHA 500/510, • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards., • Experience with JHAs, lift planning, lockout/tagout, and high-risk activity management., • Ability to conduct effective safety training and toolbox talks., • Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills., • Ability to identify hazards and implement corrective actions promptly., • CPR/First Aid certification preferred., • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, • Stable employment history, • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, background and reference check, • Legally authorized to work in the U.S., • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record, • Possession of reliable transportation, • Ability to work in all weather conditions Reporting Reports directly to the General Superintendent or Project Manager and coordinates closely with Field Supervisors, Foremen, and the Operations Team. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is regularly performed in outdoor weather conditions and active construction environments. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 40 hours per week unless otherwise agreed upon with Supervisor.Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
