Job Title: Sushi Helper / Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Sushi Helper / Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in preparing high-quality sushi dishes and maintaining an organized, hygienic kitchen environment. The ideal candidate should have a passion for food, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Key Responsibilities: - Assist sushi chefs in preparing ingredients such as cutting vegetables, slicing fish, and making rice. - Help with assembling basic sushi rolls, nigiri, and other menu items under supervision. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment. - Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and other ingredients as needed. - Ensure food preparation areas comply with hygiene and food safety standards. - Receive, unpack, and store food supplies and ingredients properly. - Dispose of kitchen waste and assist in cleaning duties. - Follow instructions from chefs and kitchen supervisors promptly. - Perform other kitchen duties as assigned. Qualifications: - Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation environment preferred, but not required. - Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and food safety practices. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks. - Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude. - Good communication and teamwork skills. - Physically fit to stand for long periods and lift moderate loads. Working Conditions: - Busy kitchen environment with exposure to heat, cold, and sharp tools. - Shifts may include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
